You do the math. Consistently about 56 teams.

Do you work for Valor? Shouldn't you be off trying to hire some coaches?

You challenge someone’s claimed figures. The evidence is provided, so now you shift it to accusation of staff and quantity of coaches.

Other club threads on this site are full of people asking about coaching slates. It would appear this is a widespread issue among most clubs.

Do you work for them or not?

Its the "happy" adjective that no one believes given all the unhappy parents in this thread.

If Mr. Valor Staffer counted up 700 paying customers, no one is arguing about the 700. They aren't all happy customers for sure though.

Every other local club that we are looking into has posted almost full coaching slates for all levels.

Valor is a far, far outlier with having begun tryouts without coaches for most of their teams.
That is simply an inarguable fact.

No. I do not.

And before you go with some other stupid conclusion, I am hoping for positive changes too. I’ve relayed my disagreements with the coaches and front office. Some changes happened. Some didn’t. But I have a grip on reality to know that the issues this club has are not much different from the other clubs. Definitely not enough to take my kids elsewhere.

If you don’t like this club, it’s your prerogative to leave. But the haters here make it sound like every problem in this club are original and unique to Valor.

False statement again. Either an outright lie if you knew and still made that statement. Or you didn’t know but made that claim without actually fact checking which would make you equally untrustworthy. Simply look at the other threads. There are parents asking about coaching slates in several different clubs.

What's an outright lie? "Every other local club that we are looking into has posted almost full coaching slates at all levels"?
This is absolutely true. We, our family, are looking into: SYC, Burke, Herndon, Vienna...all have nearly full lists posted for all levels.

Its completely bananas to show up for a tryout and accept a team offer and pay money without ever seeing a coach who doesn't exist yet. Bananas.

Are there clubs *currently holding tryouts* that have not posted their coach lists like Valor is trying to get away with doing?

Good for them and I’m happy for you that those are the clubs you’re looking at.

Every club is doing their tryouts now and there are still clubs without a full coaching slate. Parents from Arlington and GFR (for example) are posting and asking. So, good that you’re able to list several that appear complete. I just listed several that are incomplete. That still renders your claim (that Valor is the only club without a complete coaching slate) as a false statement. Whether you knew that or not, I’ll never know.

Do Herndon and Burke only field one girls team for each age group? They only list one coach for each age, similar to what Valor has done so far.
Vienna and SYC mostly seem to have their sh*t together.
And someone from Arlington just started a post about the full coaching slate not being announced there either.

Herndon only has one girls team per age group. Burke is a small club so likely same.

Are Arlington and GFR in the middle of tryouts right now also with no coaches? Not interested in those clubs but just wondering how common this is.

Every travel parent's favorite time of the year Can't wait to see the reviews on tryouts. Looking forward to live blog for the 14G & 15G teams. I'll be the guy in the stands w/the garbage bag full of popcorn. Happy to share, just bring your own cup please.

I think it's common, just handled differently. They could put out the slate with one coach having too many teams as a placeholder. They could put out a slate with some TBD's. I'm unsure why they haven't released yet. They posted that their coaches were prepping for tryouts. Was this "lead" coaches or all coaches?

Herndon boys (in some ages) have three teams. Looks like girls have one team in each age (didn’t look at all age groups).

BAC has one to two teams per age for boys. Girls seem to have only one per age (again, didn’t look at all age groups).

Pretty easy to fill coaching slates.

With the high fees they charge for all teams and the large number of office and managerial staff who work for Valor, it should be very easy to staff their teams as well.

Yet they STRUGGLE every year. I wonder why.

Yes, please live blog it here! Esp keen to know if Valor discloses the info on the parent coach and introduces any additional coaches beyond the "lead coach".

You all are crazy. I've come to the conclusion that it isn't Valor, it's the community it services. If you are so bent on the coach's name and assignment it would make more sense to find a coach you want and go to that club instead of harping on the fact that they haven't hired a coach for the 2nd or 3rd team. What if they said, Jane Doe is now the coach and has played D1 and won a state championship. Does that mean you kid will become messi under her coaching?
