Take a deep breath.

It's gonna be ok.

Her life was destroyed. It’s not an exaggeration. Please go eff yourself instead of joining twitter mobs next time — every single one of your posts shows how messed up you are and confirms that you piled on. Why? Why would anyone do that?

Her life was turned upside down for a week, but she got a good GoFundMe (>$100K) and lawyer working on more damages. A Twitter troll or 2 are temporarily or permanently knocked back. Don't know if she's back at work yet.
I think she'll come out OK.

Not as bad the Westeubergs, another pregnant lady and disabled husband, who was assaulted much more aggressively, and trapped in a parking spot by her attackers, who were spewing explicit racist hate and violent threats.
Twitter mob got her and husband fired, sent death threats, and they (the victims) were arrested and charged for 3 years, because she drew her handgun on her attackers and insisted they back away from her, responding to their racist threats by crying "I care about you".

Wow, those are both terrible stories. I hope you’re right about the nurse. She could still lose her job and have a hard time getting another one in her field. And the stress on her pregnancy is really serious. The money does something, true.

Those stories have nothing to do with this situation or are even similar. This PA went into hiding due to death and other threats, lost her job and much more.

PA did not lose job, PA is on leave. Ironically that makes the stories less similar, while other aspects have have similarities. (Racist victim-blaming by ignorant public, scared pregnant woman, hadnto hire a lawyer).

It's BEEN two weeks and she doesn't have her job back. She had to go into hiding because of death and other threats made against her. She needed that money to pay large legal fees so she doesn't lose her job and PA license. She's also six months pregnant so the stress could cause her to miscarry.

The discussion isn't about a crazy white couple and this is a very different situation. If the races were reversed you'd be fully siding with who ever wasn't white.

This woman's life is ruined. Stop minimizing it.

I can't untangle the knot of misinformation here. You seem to think that there are only two possible truths, and you changed the facts to push everything else into one of those corners.

They are the exact opposite cases. She at least temporarily lost her job. She had to go into hiding due to threats. You don't think that's serious?

Let's back up. What exactly is the opposite of what?

How come nobody is discussing the update, surely that’s worth another 200 pages of threads?

What update?

I am on her side because she’s a tired and stressed pregnant woman who was harassed by younger more physically capable people.
They touched her belly, they called her fetus names, they filmed her, and posted online.
It’s not about the bike or race.

That’s not really an update but a good summary. It was not his bike.

I hate that that's driving even more traffic to Judge's biased article.

Yeah, there is zero new information in that “update” but way to fall for the bait.

Actually the summary left out two key facts that are not in dispute and look bad for “Michael”:
- that he physically pushed her back into the dock
- that his friend called her baby “r-tarded”

So if I have this right, he was "saving" the bike to avoid a higher fee (which is annoying behavior, like holding a parking spot), she wasn't in the mood for that BS and tried to rent the bike anyway, then he pushed it back in and rented it himself. Sorry, this sounds like bad behavior from both parties. He technically started it but she escalated it. This has nothing to do with race, and everyone should be embarrassed.
