How diligent are you with home workout tapes? Favorite tape.

They look great on TV. I just need to get myself in the groove but I not think I will keep up with it. Which is your favorite workout tape?

Insanity, P90X, ..... Really any of the Beachbody programs are amazing if you stick to them.

I am diligent--3 times per week, every week unless I am on vacation (maybe 2 weeks out of the year, total).

I have 7 of her DVDs (she has more) and I just rotate.

Jillian Michaels's 30 Day Shred is pretty good and only takes about 25 minutes a day.

The problem with PX90 is that it takes too long. At least too long for a working mother. I need something closer to 30 mintues to make it work. I have a number of different DVDs by Jillian Michaels and Jackie (can't recall her last name). If it is 30 minutes I can keep it up b/c its easier to fit into the day. And it is enough (of course more would be better but I don't have that kind of life). And the variety keeps it interesting.

This!!! Loved it and I too thought i could never follow a tape but this one is so easy and its only 25 minutes so that motivated me and it changes your body and strength level really quickly. Would totally recommend it

There are lots of workouts on Comcast on demand if you need something short!

Tony Horton has a shorter workout system now. Insanity just released T25. I also love Jackie Warner (who I think you mention above). Jillian Michaels is too much for my delicate knees (ortho told me after surgery to avoid her and running).

As a side note, I love OP's use of the word "tape". I use it and my DH makes fun of me.

We got rid of comcast a few months ago, but if it is still the same as when we had it I really liked Cathy Syphers videos.

Insanity is a good one. Pricey but worth it. Jillian Michaels is hard on the knees (and I'm a runner), so I stopped doing her tapes.

Go on youtube and look for "jessica smith." She has a bunch of workouts, ranging from light weights to intervals, some step.

She has a few that are right around 30 minutes.

Start off with them. She gets right to it. There's no loading the DVD.

There are also some exercise tv workouts on youtube (i like stefani vitorino and violet zaki). I downloaded them when exercisetv still had a website. But they're great workouts that get right to the point.

It's best to start with something around a half hour. make it a habit. make it something that's loaded on the computer, space is set up, so you can just press play, do it and be done. That's what has really helped me keep it up.

i also do cardio on a machine on alternate days.

That's the biggest issue I have with a lot of workout dvds. They're really rough on the knees.
