He's a flight risk if I ever saw one.

Can we drag Maureen Comey yet or is it too soon?

Judge: I've read the parties submissions and others. The jury convicted the defendant of Counts 3 and 5. For the following reasons, bail is denied.
Judge: Even if the defendant was solely required to show that he is not a danger to the community, he could not meet that burden. Prior to trial, the court denied bail, and sees no reason to reverse that now. The defense conceded the defendant's violence
Judge: His violence is depicted in the video of Cassie Ventura. The defense admitted, This is a terrible moment, domestic violence is the issues, is what she said. It wasn't only that. There was the London Hotel incident.
Judge: There was violence after the searches in this case. As to Jane, there was June 2024 - after the searches of Combs' residences. This evidences a disregard for the law and a propensity for violence
Judge: The Court take no position on what it will consider at sentencing, nor what sentence it will impose. But here, the burden is on him, and he cannot carry it. The defense argues the guideline starts at 21 months, the US says 51 months. He'd done 10 months
Judge: I set sentencing for Friday, October 3 at 10 am. I am willing to expedite it.
Combs' Agnfilo: We would like it expedited.
Judge; We will need an expedited pre-sentencing report from Probation. But I will be available any time.

This is concerning if this is correct. The jury spoke. The judge should not be acting out of what is standard for similarly convicted. I would immediately be asking what first time offenders for this charge are denied bail after already serving 10 months. Why also did the judge ask Diddy if he rather not go back to the jail after the decisions were read. Something does not look right. Hopefully his lawyers are on this.

Diddy was not convicted of violence. What is going on? I may not like Diddy but clearly the judge is acting outside of what Diddy was convicted for.

Your concerns are terribly misplaced.

Men always see themselves as victims when it comes to sexual misconduct accusations

Exactly!

People minimize the abuse men do. Misogyny is so rampant that both men and women tend to sympathize with men first.

I watched the documentary about the doctor at Ohio State who was similar to Nasur. The number of people, men and women, who protected him and "the system" was astounding. He apparently was one of the first doctors who understood the use of steroids and sports performance and helped all the Ohio State athletes compete while jacked. There is also a story about some business guy in TN who was so connected in his community that he got away with organized date rapes for decades and the police wouldn't even investigate. When you hear them talk about the victims it tells you everything about how far we have regressed as far as respect for women.

+1 Also, the kind of man who would kick a woman and drag her down the hall of a hotel is not fit to be free among civilized people.

He was not tried and convicted of this.

I don't understand the decisions the prosecution made. I'm thinking about Kim Porter, Prince, and all the others this guy got to.

That's discouraging.I guess it is a miracle he was not acquitted of all the charges.

Well, in jury trials it's really difficult to prosecute abusive men when the victim chooses to continue with the relationship - plus all the texts and so on that seemed to encourage this pattern. That's a tough mountain for prosecutors.

This.

October!!! Diddy is disgusting, but COME ON. Cassie never went to the police about any of this. She did not regard him as a danger. She wanted to keep it private and civil, which I get. He wasn't convicted of violence. I hate to be defending him but this feels like it's for the optics. This would be like giving Karen Read the max for DUI because "hey, she didn't just drive drunk, she killed a guy!" when she wasn't convicted of that.

States like New York are very liberal and lenient. It is a travesty that he is getting off so lightly. Wish a different mix of jurors heard the case.

Yeah, you don't like the outcome and so it's a travesty. Your predictability is pityful.

You do like the outcome? I guess you are part of his "artistic lifestyle" group.
