| HG has 3 going to SR, 1 to Bullis. |
I can’t imagine all of the 2030 girls going to SR stay through high school. There aren’t enough spots for them all to play. The only school that’s more stacked for the overall 2030 class is SPSG. They’ll be in the same situation. |
Some families dont know how to do math. Or they dont care about playing HS |
That and they do substitute players. |
Most parents don’t think their kid will be the odd man out, they think HS is club 2.0 and it’s not. |
Exactly. And most don't realize that dominating your age group does not mean it will translate to the varsity level. For a lot of girls it takes a year or two to figure it out. |
| High-school recruiting process to area privates is a bit of a gamble. First, you will have imperfect information on who else is picking your target school. Second, coaches will send positive signals to just about all good players, even if they have preferences, etc. It's tough. And it's not clear how to easily switch up if you find out you made the wrong call. Lots of transition costs, socially, academically, and so forth. We are seeing multiple girls transfer in and out at my eldest's school. Apparently it's more common than it used to be. |
Why would a kid transfer schools based solely on lacrosse? Were there issues with their academics as well?
|
| HS Kids transfer for lax all the time. |
Not smart |
Guess it depends what they want out of it. |
| Everyone should do what they want to do, just have zero expectations |
