Meanwhile, the GA is adding everything that applied, clubs who are ranked 1000+ and would be bottom third of their own B league (Aspire), agreed?

Ask NJ Premier if this is true (I know not a DMV team, but they have been mentioned here)

#170 in the country on Girls Club side

#3 in NJ for 2008 girls (beat ton of GA/ECNL teams)
#5 in NJ for 2011 girls (beat ton of GA teams)

Woman owned club

but
No B teams
Boys play EDP

denied GA and playing in Aspire next year even though last year they won 5 out of 6 NAL divisions (and a 2nd place) last year
(niece plays for the club, so I hear it a lot from my BIL)

While I do think the 08 NJP team is better then average, I don't really believe the hype as most of those showcases they played mostly weak GA/ECNL teams that were showcasing players or do you really think they are better then the 2x ECNL national champions since they beat PF 2-1? You can't trust most showcase scores so much as a good number of teams use them for what they are, to showcase players - not win - while others will go all out against a higher league opponent. Only showcase scores you can really trust would be ones like GA showcase as they count towards national standings.

Mostly because ECNL and GA dont want to lose to a NAL club

recently beat:
Hex ECNL (#4 in PA)
IMG GA in (#4 in FL)

SUSA forced them to play RL teams at their showcase

destroyed a low level GA team 7-0 at visit raliegh
tied ECNL Fairfax (#5 in VA)
...

We all must remember individual teams and clubs can be much better than the current league they are in. It's always been true that good USYS teams can beat teams in any league and even stronger teams in the top league. This is no different.

and the argument for being team v team.

GA should take clubs in GA and aspire but decide which one are in which ON A TEAM BASIS. Big deal if a club has 3 teams in GA and 3 in Aspire (but the B teams being there blows that out of the water)

Is the ga done with booms?

I heard some Rec club from Portland is putting 6 age groups into the Pacific Northwest GA. Will probably win every age group with how bad that division is, lol.

the bottom of the GA is so bad. In the PacNW their 9th, 10th, and 11th place teams are ranked below.

--1382 in the country
--1215 in the country
--1888 in the country

The 3 teams collectively have played 35 games and have won 3. This is the level play at the bottom of the GA. The league will take any club that's willing to pay the entry fee. Total joke of a league.

Now do ECNL...

But seriously who cares about the worst teams in a league? Complete waste of time and resources.

The fact that NJ Premier didn't make GA does not chnage the fact GA has pulled in some pretty heinous teams in other parts of the country. No idea NJP why in Aspire but think any of these four factors could be in play:
1) GA does not think competition in NAL is very good and thus not impressive
2) No B teams to put in Aspire if A team promoted to GA
3) Not strong enough across all six age groups (do they have one or two really week teams?)
4) GA all ready saturated/oversaturated in NJ market

Not sure if you missed it but MLSN Michigan Wolves (which used to be paired with ECNL Michigan Hawks) announced yesterday was starting a girls program in June. No additional details. IF that program goes GA, that might be like having the danger phone call coming from in the house for the Hawks (since they share facilities). So, huge boom under that circumstance, I would think, but maybe it'll be lower level, at least at first?

It's probably geography and GA being smart here. Njp is walking distance to pda blue. Any and all top 20-22 kids in area are going to PDA. Second, they have an RL team in same location. If you know anything about PDA, people love getting their kids into PDA, regardless of level, so kids can wear the baby blues. It's likely some parents will choose pda rl over njp gal just to get into the pda system with hopes of getting to blue. The reality is that people realize that pda training isn't all that great and there is a low probability of getting promoted to blue but there's always new parents who makes these decisions and ultimately it's a talent drain in this area

Njp is walking distance from pda blue. Pda also has an rl team in same location. You start out behind the 8 ball as the top 20-22 kids in area are going to blue. Pda blue is a cult in NJ. People will put their kids in blue rl over njp GA so that adds to the talent shortage. People ultimately figure out pda training and rl isn't all that great but there's always the next person that believes any pda uniform is a great uniform

The 2011 team is right up there with some of the best clubs nationally. They put on a dominant performance at the Jeff Cup, going a perfect 3-0 against tough ECNL and GA opponents. This was followed by a strong showing at the PDA Kickoff, where they showcased their resilience and skill. Despite a narrow 3-2 loss to the highly ranked SUSA ECNL team, they bounced back with a solid 2-0 victory over STA GA, a cornerstone GA club. They also did very well at the Winter GA Showcase in Florida, narrowly losing their final game but convincingly winning the other two against GA clubs.

With this impressive track record, they are certainly contenders for the Champions Cup in GA, although they may need to wait another year to officially make their mark.
