In all seriousness the is probably one of her personal bests. She immediately put that awful white blazer on when she was off the stairs so idk if that's like her security blanket or something now. But the color and cut are fab for her.

I think the dress throws her proportions way off, like her top half doesn’t match the bottom. I think a less poofy/wide cut on top would be much more flattering.

Do you think her relatives are supportive? I thought it interesting in her interview she only mentions Vance’s mom - and she was the only grandparent at the inauguration. I wonder if her mother and aunties are proud or embarrassed - especially working in universities.

I think it’s also notable that most of the female lawyers I know now, as well as back in law school were quite well dressed. Not necessarily fashion plates, but well put together and knew how to dress for the occasion, so I find it odd that she keeps leaning into this “lack of fashion”. This seems more fitting for a scientist or artist than a lawyer.

Well that and the two pics I have seen of her mom, she is very polished.

A quick google led me to a post on the UCSD subreddit (Usha's mom is the dean of a college there) and the gossip is that Usha's parents and JD have always had a strained relationship. Of course take it for what it's worth, which is not much.

I feel like some conservative women made that dig too last year; that Usha’s mom basically does all the kid work and JD treats her poorly. Again, who knows?

As for whether her mom is polished, who knows, Usha’s firm picture is polished too.

But I’ve been a lawyer in DC for 25 years and agree that many women lawyers are “ put together and knew how to dress for the occasion.” But the window of appropriate is narrow and plain.

She is thin but looking at pictures of her next to JD, who is huge...she's just on the smaller side of average. If I had to guess, I would say 5'3"-5'5" and 110-120 pounds. I don't think she's this 99 pound waif some posters here believe her to be.

She’s taller than 5’3. Melania is 5’9 and the height differential isn’t as significant as that.

I thought Melania was closer to 6'. But yes, I agree. JD is 6'2" and the height difference isn't significant, although a lot of times when she is next to him she is in heels. I maintain she is probably closer to 5'5" than 5'3" - if she's in 2" heels around him and the Trumps that would put her around 5'7", which is why she's not dwarfed by them.
