Regardless of their path to states, you can’t possibly argue that they aren’t one of the top 4 teams. If you think your team is better you should have reached out and scheduled them.

YT has a good mix of players with a boat load of experience and an incredibly deep bench. They won by 5 at BF in the second game of the season. They beat Madison by 5 at Madison. Beat Robinson, Oakton (twice), Langley (twice), and Western Albermarle. They had one game at Madison that they got outplayed. Only thing that concerns me is overlooking a good BF team but they have played multiple top teams in the last 6-7 weeks to keep them ready.

Agreed. It could have gone either way. But it didn't. It was a YT Win. All the poster said was that YT beat West Albermarle, which is true. Poster didn't say they crushed WA. WA is a very good team.

Well, since BF is currently ranked 5th by LN, it is possible to argue that BF isn't one of the top 4 teams. I think Langley is better and they played BF.

Anyone know if they have an nfhs camera at Freeman high school where the Class 6 final will be played and/or some other mechanism for broadcast? I don't see any on demand broadcasts from Freeman home games on VHSL, which seems to indicate that they may not have one..

VHSL treats state semi/final games terribly. Always down state (would it kill them to host up in NOVA for once since most of the time that's where the top 4 teams come from?). Instead they play at crappy schools without cameras so nobody can watch. way to end season on down note.

Why can’t VHSL schedule a state final for the biggest schools in Virginia at either UVA, George Mason, JMU, or some other actual stadium instead of at a school that is arguably smaller than the two schools playing in the final Class 6 game of the season? There are more than 50 class 6 schools and this is the best VHSL could come up with? What happens to the gate money we pay to get in? Most doesn’t go back to the host school.

I've always thought they should do everything at South County. Between the high school and the middle school that is connected, they have 3 turf fields that work for Lax (might need to add some temp bleachers) plus 3 large grass areas for warmups. Massive amount of space - also a little closer to teams in Richmond and Tidewater than some other NoVa schools.

They need to remove the giant bird nest first that is in the cell tower. the constant crowing and dodging bird sh*t isnt ideal for visitor side
