Didn’t someone on DCUM say she was born in Spain when her parents were vacationing there? If this is true she would still be a US citizen but I guess the place of birth in her birth certificate would be Spain?

Wait really? This was started almost a century ago when all actors/actresses were contracted direct to studios. It was how buzz was generated for movies, how new stars were introduced, how they covered up gay actors/actresses, etc.

I do think it’s the perception that Spaniards are like Americans and aren’t “migrants” working a field. Both lies are the same to me in principle/theory/logic.

I watched the video. Hilaria/Hillary was not stating, or even suggesting, that she personally had been subjected to racism. There's a lot of things to criticize here, don't get me wrong, but that video isn't one of them.

I have been on this thread for months and months. Here is what I don't understand:
1. We wondered how this story didn't get out sooner. So many people here realized she was lying by omission and carefully crafting her words. So after months and months did this story finally blow up?
2. Now that the whole truth has come out, I am stunned at how few ties she really has to Spain besides her brother and parents now live there. Could this really be true? Months ago I posted the video of her mother talking about when she was in med school and how she paused when she talked about "her daughter [long pause] Hilaria". I really thought she had been born in Mallorca and her parents owned a vacation home there that they spent vacations there every year because so many sites listed her birthplace as Mallorca. It turns out that it doesn't really look like she has spent much time in Spain AT ALL. Hillary has posted two photos of her time in Spain. That's it. I thought she had spent summers there, went to summer camp there, studied abroad in high school/college, etc. I really want to know how many days she really has spent in Spain.
