Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

It’s also a sad picture. A man of fortune and privilege who had so much respect on the world stage is here...running through obstacle courses with a comedian. Also selling out tidbits on his famous family to make money.

Something about this just doesn’t sit right.

We hate them because they're inauthentic and unrelatable, but we also hate them because they don't sufficiently reflect their fortune and privilege, amirite??

Same and same. It was excellent, well-thought-out, perfectly executed PR. Harry was always fun and funny, and it was indeed great to see that again. But the vibe is weird. Of course Harry is going to get homesick in a matter of time, and of course the relationship with his brother -- and perhaps especially Kate -- has been deeply damaged by this Instagram influencer nonsense behavior. And the pretense of their charity work via Santa Barbara mansion - come on. James Corden and Oprah are both manipulators in their own way. I don't know. But ugh.

Why do you think this? My family caused me great stress and I moved far away and I have never been homesick. And I still love and talk to them, but the distance has actually made it possible to not fully walk away.

I feel like a weirdly disproportionate number of Meghan and Harry haters have no idea what it is like to crave freedom from the chains of your childhood. People who had good childhoods have a hard time understanding what it’s like to have not had that. Trust me, I don’t think Harry will ever be homesick. He may miss England on occasion, and he can visit! But he’ll never go back to being a working royal, even if he and MM split up one day. He has been i over this life since his mother died.

I wonder if all of you concerned about Harry being homesick, in a different country, and separated from his family and friends expressed the same appreciation for Meghan when she was in the same situation.

Yes, there was a lot of sympathy for her, and admiration. "Two countries separated by a common language" etc. The UK is a very difficult country to emigrate to.

You missed all of that?

It was so voyeur-like. Is this prince really picking up the mess on the double decker open top tour bus? Did he really agree to ask to use the bathroom at the Fresh Prince's house? Is he actually participating in a mock Spartan Race all for James Corden? The Queen of England really sent a waffle maker and Prince Phillip can't be bothered to end a Zoom call and just closes the laptop. And wow, his kid's first word was crocodile. It was so weird and so full of entertainment value.

The twisty negative interpretations of everything she does by the haters has dimmed my memory, I guess.

You are not watching the same royal family documentaries that I am. Princess Margaret wanted a different life so she married a photographer and hung out with his bohemian friends. Once their marriage was over, she retreated back to her artistocratic circle of friends. I would bet the same will happen to Harry. He also said that he hasn't walked away, but just stepped back. He's leaving the door open to going back.

I must have watched a different interview than everyone else! I thought he came across as awkward and boring, but overall harmless.

She was only on for a quick FaceTime but came across well. (“Haz”?? Lol!)

No, I felt the same. He's used to being interviewed, but he's not an actor. When he talked about never being on a double decker bus before, it was sad in an awkward way. She seemed genuinely surprised that Corden called her, but was somehow Insta-ready. Usually I find her a phony bore.

Overexposure, loss of mystique.

Recently, I binge-watched videos from Loose Women, a British tv show like the View or the Real, where they talked about the royal family: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r_FE412YIQ

What does Margaret have to do with Harry other than both being the spares? She made extremely different choices than Harry. He’s doing what she never could. He’s separating for real. I doubt he Will ever walk away from being Prince Harry to go live in total privacy. But I’d bet a lot of money he never succumbs to living under the watchful eyes of the rota ever again

THEY NEVER SAID THEY WANTED TO LIVE A PRIVATE LIFE!

They have multiple time actually gone on about their privacy. I also ask you to control yourself and stop yelling.

They didn’t want a private life, they wanted a life where they weren’t being sold out to those closest to them. And I think Harry pretty strongly alluded in this interview that they wanted a life where he could put family over the crown. But he’s said over and over again he intends to work in public service for the rest of his life

They actually have said they anted a private life. They are the ones doing the selling out. Do your research and don't just believe the PR they pay for. They had a job and decided they didn't want the job anymore, but wanted the perks of the job.

The interview was straight crap . But I applaud the effort H & M have put into paying for PR to drum up support on various forums. I appreciate that they have attempted to make it seem authentic by having people claim to be haters as.

It was just pathetic there are nearly 40 years old people behaving as teenagers. It's also lying.

I'll give you one example of a lie Harry saying he's never been on a double-decker bus but he's actually been on one with Diana.
