| We just moved into an apt in Clarendon for the summer while our house reno gets messy. We are big fans of Asian food -- Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, sushi, etc. What are the best places over here? Both for eat-in and take-out. I was burned by Yelp recently so I'd love some other recommendations. |
| Vietnamese: Minh's. Indian: Delhi Dhaba for takeout. Thai: Sawatadee in Courthouse. I don't think there is good Chinese anywhere in the area. Sushi: Endo Sushi. |
Thank you! |
| I would say that Nam Viet is better than Minh's ( and cheaper)' and Delhi Club is way better than Delhi Dhaba (which is okay if you're a poor college student hungry late at night). Sawatdee is pretty good, but I like Bangkok Bistro in Ballston much better. Just skip anything run by Tara Thai. |
Thanks! |
| Pho 75 in Rosslyn is worth the short trip. Bring cash. |
Thanks! I do need to run an errand down there this week. |
| Mala tang is a hot pot restaurant in Virginia Square. I live in maryland and would go much more often if I lived closer! |
| Oh yeah, Bangkok Bistro in Ballston is better. I always forget about that place. |
| Thank you! |
| Not exactly Clarendon, but the Vietnamese food at Four Sisters in Merrifield is well worth the drive! Also Eden Center is amazing for Vietnamese food and groceries. |
I love PF Chang

ROTFLMAO |
| There really isn't good Asian food in Clarendon. It's in Rockville, Falls Church, Herndon and Annandale instead. Thai is your best bet. |
I have no doubt and some of my favs are located in Rockville and Falls Church (Herndon, really? Must have better options than when I worked there 5 years ago) - but for everyday meals we don't have the luxury of time to drive around the DC area. We tried Nam Viet last night and really liked it. Looking forward to trying the rest. Thanks again! |
