Yuck. Very mediocre like, well, most places in Clarendon. Just about any place in Eden Center or the Merrifield area would be much better. But celebrities ate there 20 years ago, so it must be good, right? Nope. Lousy pho and shrimp that are not fresh. |
I bet there are some great places out by Pimmit Hills or Mosaic District. There's nothing good in Arlington, right? You've pointed that out every chance you get. |
| Minh's and Pho 75 are both great. |

The best Thai in the area is Thai Square on Columbia Pike. I know it's not in Clarendon, but it's worth the trip. Crispy honey roasted duck and pad see ew. Mmmm.
Also want to second the Delhi Club recommendation. Try the tandoori wings. And I know you didn't ask for this, but have to tried El Charrito Caminante in Lyon Park? It's super cheap and fast and really good. |
| OP again - thank you! |

Ahh, Thai square! Have you been there lately? It's remodeled. Not bad but not the Thai square from the old days.
Eden square is better than Clarendon any day and worth the trip. |
| Bangkok 54 is great too. |
| These aren't right in the center of Clarendon, but we really like Masala Express and Astor Mediterranean (not Asian, but yummy) on Pershing. |
| And the Bon Chon Chicken on Pershing is having its soft opening next Monday! |
| I used to like Crystal Thai on rt 50 - not far from Clarendon (by the Outback Steakhouse). |
| Do any of these restaurants deliver? My youngest just came down with a fever. And for future reference. |
| We get food delivered from bangkok 54 at least once a week. Different poster btw. |
When I was a kid Clarendon was called Little Saigon by everyone for a reason and had excellent vietnamese and thai. Sad most got priced out and we get Cheesecake Factory instead. There are still a few that have been suggested that are still there tho. |
This makes me sad. As PP said, back when Clarendon was a dumpy neighborhood, it was Vietnamese central. Man, I miss Cafe Dalat.
