Go to Eden Center. It's just up the road a bit.

There really isn't good Asian food in Clarendon. It's in Rockville, Falls Church, Herndon and Annandale instead. Thai is your best bet.

This makes me sad. As PP said, back when Clarendon was a dumpy neighborhood, it was Vietnamese central. Man, I miss Cafe Dalat.

+1

Yes! People talk about Queen Bee, but I miss the shrimp and sugarcane.

Minh's really is very good. It's where my Vietnamese DH prefers to eat. They don't use MSG like 99% of the places in the Eden Center do.

Sawatdee and Endo are also very good. I lived in Japan for a while and Endo (while it has some silly Americanized stuff) is good. As for Thai food, we're not Thai and I never lived there, but Sawatdee is delicious.

Anyone who says you have to go to Herndon for good Asian food is someone I wouldn't listen to!

There are a number of good restaurants at Eden Center, and no, you won't get shot. LOL

If you go to Eden Center, try Huong Viet. It's consistently very good, cheap, and authentic. No charming service or nice decor, but you don't go to Vietnamese restaurants for that.

We used to go to Eden Center every week, but since moving farther from it, we order mostly from private Vietnamese mom & pop caterers.

What's wrong with the fusion cuisines?

I still love California rolls!
