Rapid weight loss and other things cause pancreatitis too. Pancreatitis is very rare side effect of Wegovy. I think staying obese for me is much riskier than Ozempic/Wegovy

You've clearly not had the bad side effects. I had to stop because I was doubled over in pain. Literally doubled over in pain. I had to go to the ER.

DP. This side affect is not common. Wegovy/Ozempic is working for thousands of people. Ozempic is now on back order in a lot of places, but not nearly as bad as Wegovy.

There is a long history on DCUM of people faking bad outcomes of weight-related surgeries and medications. Beware.

I'm starting mounjaro tomorrow.
My BMI is just below 30 and my A1C is pre-diabetic.
I'm 47.
I'll report back how this goes.
I feel quite sheepish but i'm not post-menopausal (early menopause due to a hysterectomy) and
loosing weight has proven to be next to impossible and I have tried diligently. I literally have to eat nothing to maintain weight
and less than nothing to lose.

How did you get it?

I've been on it since the first of June. It doesn't work for me nearly as good as 2.4mg Wegovy. I'm hoping the 12.5mg/15mg dosing does the trick.

I am feeling so sick: nauseated and flu-like.
This is so weird because traditionally I don't have side-effects with medications.

I can see how people lose weight on this because so far I'm not able to eat; I feel so crappy.

So I started this about 5 or 6 weeks ago. At first, I felt nothing... no side effects or any impact on appetite, etc. Then suddenly, the last 2 weeks I am SO full from eating very little. I'm almost a little worried because I can't continue to eat so little long term, but I'm hoping that as I get used to the medication, it will become more reasonable.

The nausea passes after a few weeks for most people, hang in there and give it some time.

Which insurance provider covered your prescription? And did you have a copay?

Question for those who went off wegovy, when the hunger and cravings came back, were they worse then before you started the drug?

DP: I have Aetna Innovation. I pay $25 for 4-6 week pen. I am prediabetic.

For me, not really but I can tell I lost weight from not eating not because I learned to make better choices.

Ugh! This is discouraging. I was supposed to move from 1.7 to 2.4 and can’t get it. Dr switched me to Mojourno but he started me at 2.5. I move to 5mg this weekend. The 2.5 didn’t do anything. Could even tell I was on it. I was hoping the move to 5 would help.

How quickly is everyone titrating to the next dosage level? My doctor has me doing 4 weeks at each level, starting at the lowest. (BMI = 37 for reference)

I started a very restrictive diet in March and lost 9 pounds but it was so hard to maintain and I went to my doctor for labs and a follow up at 199 pounds. Since I was pre-diabetic she prescribed Ozempic. I started 0.25 mg 10 days ago and I'm down 4 pounds already. Hardly ever think about food. I'm hopeful this will be the boost I need to start feeling more capable of exercising and finally pursuing a breast reduction surgery (H cup really limits what I can do in the gym).

Bumping my post from a month ago to say that I'm 8 weeks in - 5 weeks on 0.25 and 3 weeks on 0.5 - and I'm down to 186. I'm dealing with some constipation but otherwise feeling good.
