It’s a pecking order. He’s constantly shit on by the shiv, the rest of the Roy’s, and the company in general. He takes out it out on Greg. But he’s perpetually conflicted between this miserable complicated life he’s supposed to want and the actual happiness of his simpler background. He’s the only one with that perspective. |
There was not enough Greg/Tom scenes this season. There were not enough Greg scenes. All of his lines were "well, uh" wash rinse repeat. |
PP here. ME TOO. That was really good. |
| Lol. Shiv was not trying to “protect the company” — she was trying to knife her brother. |
| Isn’t she likely making only a couple million bucks a year? Why wouldn’t Gerri threaten to file a lawsuit against the company for sexual harassment from the scion and walk away with a $50M+ settlement / retirement parachute? |
Because she's more interested in power than money. Duh. Gerri has enough money to walk away and retire right now, if she wanted to. But her goal is to sideline all the kids and get Logan to hand the reins of the company over to her. |
At least Shiv isn’t even fooling herself that she’s “one of the good ones” anymore. |
Not that it makes Roman's behavior less gross, but Gerri is not married (although she does have kids). She is dating someone. |
| Shiv is not at all overweight. However, her wardrobe of skin tight tops and wide-legged pants would not be flattering on most normal-weight people. I don't think someone wealthy and with taste would choose those clothes as professional attire. |
|
It's odd - my wife thought the blue summer dress on Shiv looked terrible in the last episode. She commented on it multiple times.
However, I thought Shiv looked like a knock-out in that dress: plunging neck line and high leg slit. Sure, the actress is not a waif, but 90% of guys would not turn her down. Are women threatened by seeing a normal sized woman "put it all out there" without apologies? |
Nah. She's had some really amazing dresses in other episodes. The one from the last episode was kind of meh. I'm not sure it would have looked more flattering on someone else. |
It’s also embarrassing for her. She did fool around with Roman a bit, and that wound surface. In addition, who wants to take on the Roy’s? That would be incredibly intimidating, particularly after being so close to them and respected by Logan all these years. |
She probably makes 10-20M a year. |
|
Shiv is hot. Her clothes push sexuality into situations where it should not be at times in an attempt to be feminine and corporate. That’s the costume choice. Her dress was super sexy, Italian-movie risqué, and looked amazing on her. She’s not a pear. She’s curvy with somewhat smaller breasts. Let’s put that to rest. I see all these women walking around here, and I promise you - she’s a hot specimen.
Now, what a jerk she is. I can’t believe she told Tom she didn’t love him. After her conversation with her mom she clearly wanted to kick him like a dog like logan and do the opposite of what her mom said she would do and have a maybe kid. I think Tom will betray her here soon. Hmmm, Kendall dying. It could happen. |
|
Also, clearly the guy from GoJo smells blood in the water. He knows that the Roys are operating from a position of weakness, but have not yet realized it. The Roys come to him, begging for a meeting. Roman lets him piss on his phone. They are desperate
The platform - GoJo - is what's valuable, while the content (Waystar) is the commodity that will get cheaper and less valuable over time. If Kendall dies, does that snap Logan and he agrees to sell to GoJo? This actually makes a ton of sense, given that tech is buying up content producers left and right. |
