What would be her motivation for lying about this very specific offense?

DP. If you couldn’t figure out that Meghan was trying to make the BRF look bad in the Oprah interview, then I’m questioning how you function on a daily basis.

She didn't have to try very hard.

The royal family looked bad before. Their silence spoke volumes.

Even the British parliament spoke up for Meghan Markle! Her family was silent. It’s not a good look.

The BRF did speak up for Meghan. They put forward statements for her.

Beyond that, the usual way that they address problems is with silence. They gave her the same courtesy they give to other members of the family - by being above the media.

I don’t think it’s particularly relevant to the plight of an incredibly privileged and enormously wealthy, white-passing Hollywood starlet.
