What is your explanation for why there were even talking about an insurance policy? Why were they discussing whether or not they thought Trump would get elected in McCabe's office? Why were they even discussing that with McCabe? Why does that even matter? If you are going to investigate wrongdoing, investigate it. Whether he got elected or not should not have had any bearing on the investigation or not.
