"No, no he's not. We'll stop it" -- Peter Stzrok, FBI agent who opened the Russia interference investigation.

And what exactly did he do to stop Trump? He opened a secret investigation and forget to tell anyone about until after the election. He had lots of salacious dirt from the Steele memo but he released NONE of it publicly until Buzzfeed published it after the election. He got 17 IC agencies to conclude that Russia interfered in the election but kept them from telling anyone until after the election.

That's the worst insurance policy in the world.

They didn't think he was going to win. They thought Hillary was going to win. The insurance policy was trying to come up with something to impeach him on, in case he did win. That's why one of the texts said "I'm afraid we can't take that chance".

What????

The mere fact that Hillary was under investigation a week before the election helped sink her campaign. So you are telling me that instead of just leaking to the press to hurt Trump like a normal Washington swampdweller, Strzok developed an illegal plot to, umm... trick(coerce?) Congress into impeaching Trump?

Have.you been watching "Pinky and the Brain" reruns?

What is your explanation for why there were even talking about an insurance policy? Why were they discussing whether or not they thought Trump would get elected in McCabe's office? Why were they even discussing that with McCabe? Why does that even matter? If you are going to investigate wrongdoing, investigate it. Whether he got elected or not should not have had any bearing on the investigation or not.

How about because they are human beings and they have opinions? At worst, they violated the Hatch Act by talking about their political views at work. No evidence their political views affected their work. None.

“Insurance policy” anyone?

Somehow Peter and Lisa made those Russian trolls do their trolling, made Papadapalous meet with the Australian diplomat, made Junior meet with Veselnitskaya. Also they control the weather and the stock market.

Actually, not sure about the weather and the stock market, but evidence is coming to light that the meeting with the Australian dip and the meeting with Veselnitskaya were both set-ups.
This will likely be revealed as fact once this investigation is complete.

Italy said no. There's no "evidence" coming to light.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Can someone please prick your little bubble?

That's all you got? Accusations regarding "bubbles" have become the DCUM equivalent of.sticking your fingers in your ears while singing. Good luck with that.

We shall see what evidence Italians may have brought forth.

You tell us. Saying the words "insurance policy" isn't illegal and PP's suggestion that they planned an impeachment as "insurance" is like saying they collected newspaper in case of rain.

Andy McCabe has dropped his lawsuit against the DOJ/Barr for wrongful termination.

Right? Interesting that it’s a stipulation of dismissal, not a notice of dismissal.

Does this mean that McCabe gets his pension? Since his termination was clearly wrongful.

Why does that phrase bother you? Shouldn't our law enforcement personnel be thinking ahead to multiple ways of protecting out country from crime and undue foreign influence?

Right. The obvious settlement would be his pension. What else would it be?

Damages?

But yeah - a stipulated dismissal with prejudice =settlement.

Andy must be held accountable.

I think the settlement suggests there is nothing to be "accountable" for.
