These asian kids get in because of what they are learning outside of school. Other lower incone Kids need that kind of support. You can rig admissions in high school, but that’s not where it will help. It has to happen in Kinder and first and second etc.

Plus role models of their own race who would show them why they should value education.

Do people really not know? Asian parents in NYC and here give practice exams to their kids literally everyday. I know many Asian people that went there and this is a fact. If a test is involve, you can teach to the test.

Do people really not know? Black parents in NYC don’t value education or understand how it can benefit their children so they literally do nothing to help their kids prepare for entrance exams.

It sounds like sour grapes. If people aren't willing to go above and beyond what is taught in schools, why should they be admitted to a rigorous program like this? Don't they know that their kid is going to have to do a ton of outside of school work? If they cannot be bothered to help their kids prep for one test, what do they think will happen when the workload piles up?

The other thing that not have been mentioned is many of these Asian parents spend every spare dollar on their kids. Many low income first generation parents don’t go out to eat or to the movies but will happily throw down the $1,500 for Princeton review classes etc. it’s that level of sacrifice that also weighs heavily but also makes the kids feel so supported and loved (and a little guilty) so they often work hard.

What does the investigation have to do with elite HIGH SCHOOL admissions? I've neither seen nor heard of such a connection.

Yeah, they are hiring OTHER Asian kids to take the test for them.

How much more money and accommodations can we throw at this issue to continue to get the same results?

No, these Asian kids are poor. They can’t afford to hire someone to take the test for them.
