Yes. Just so nobody goes into full panic mode--I also have not received an email yet. I more than one kid. I do not expect to get emails for all of at the same time. One will be in league play in the Fall, the others will not. I suspected that they would start coming by August 1st.

Rouge? Are people painting themselves now too?

Come on people; why so serious? All this over a kit ordering discussion? Don't you think that's a bit much? What if someone did get their kit ahead of you? Is it that big of a deal?

It sounded more snarky than sarcastic, so yeah, it seemed a bit over the top. But yeah, paint yourself red all you want!

Just got one for each of my kids as well. They said in the email that they carefully balanced the player numbers to balance structure and flexibility. I assume since many players often play in different age groups at times in competitions. I am sure that took some time to puzzle out. One thing I have noticed is how methodical and careful any of the training, decisions, etc. are with the staff. They really look at the most minute details and everything is planned out carefully--nothing left to chance.

We have seen Clubs where number is by team rank (bad for many reasons; main one club unity) and alphabetical by name (better, but a problem if a kid plays up and somebody has the same number). This is the first place I've been where they carefully chose each number for each individual player. But, I guess that is because it is an Academy which is different and the movement is more fluid.

Anybody know a local soccer store that might carry the same styles? It would be good to try on sizes before ordering.

Nike US League Knit Shorts
Nike Tiempo Premier Jersey
Nike Park VI Jersey
Nike Academy 18 Long Sleeve Drill, Pants

Numbering by rank is the oddest thing I ever heard. I know most first teams gets 1st pick, but most just keep the numbers given to them at the younger ages. Most kids want to mimic their idols like 10 for Messi and 7 Ronaldo. Some line to align it with position, such as 9 for striker or 1 for goalie.

Try soccerpost in Chantilly. I really hate the idea of only using the local businesses as a "fitting room" for dot com sites, but we don't have much of a choice these days.

We get cleats and fan gear there. Too bad we can’t get team gear there anymore.
