Who wants children to live? Every compassionate human being. |
Prolife and I have adopted one. I also support charities that help people raise their kids, for example diaper banks and educational charities. There is much more I could do, but it is a start. |
It's actually the opposite of what you say. There are many desperate children waiting to be adopted. 2014 statistics: 415,129 children in foster care 107,918 children waiting to be adopted Source - http://www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/cb/afcarsreport22.pdf |
If every child is a wanted child there will be no Wednesday's children- they will all be with a family. |
+1. The left has tried for decades to remove any concept of responsibility or morality with sex. If you don't want to get pregnant, then don't have sex. If you choose to have sex and not use protection, you might make a baby. Be an adult and accept the responsibility for your action, not try to terminate the innocent life that was produced as a result of your actions. |
So you haven't adopted any children? Then STFU. |
Agree 100% but I still wouldn't prevent a woman from getting an abortion if she decides that is the best choice for her. And I don't debate the terminology. Call it a baby if you want. An unwanted baby. |
Why is there a requirement for adoption if one believes every child should be wanted? If every child is wanted, there would be no need for Wednesday's child. |
You do realize that 'every child a wanted child' is a PLanned Parenthood phrase, don't you? |
Tons of couples DO want that baby to love and care for. TONS. |
-1 I know it feels good to put people in tidy little boxes, but most people, of all political stripes, have enjoyed premarital and/or non-procreational intercourse. And for a few decades, we've had reliable birth control. Many avail themselves of these options - again, from all political parties. And for many, having an abortion is acting responsibly. You disagree. FTR, have you heard the stories told by staff at abortion-providing clinics? Lots and lots of anti-choice protesters have abortions, then get back out harrassing women. So it seems that even anti-choice people is "irresponsible" and "immoral" with sex. And I never understand why anti-choice people - who profess to love life! - basically see a baby as a punishment. It's gross. |
So a woman owes the results of an unwanted pregnancy to other people? So infertile people should have first dibs over another woman's bodily integrity? |
Terminology is legally important though. It's illegal to kill a baby for example. So to call an embryo or fetus a baby is insinuating abortions are illegal. The entire premise behind pro-life or pro-choice is based upon the terminology. |
How about giving a fetus a shot at a happy, meaningful life vs. sure death? |
Exactly. How about practicing some non-violence and allowing the baby her life? Terminating the life of a baby before birth is horrifically brutal. For mother AND child. |
