I actually think the problem is that they do often but not always change things based on feedback. So it feels like the hunger games, this competition for which community is the most organized to get what it wants. |
The 54 bus, for one. |
The closest stop is over a mile away from Wootton, and more than 2 miles away for neighborhoods behind Frost. |
| If you hop on 54, how long does it take right now to go from Wootton to Crown? |
You can’t hop on on Tide on 54, it doesn’t stop near Wootton . |
I just told you I took 2-3 buses to get home from Blair. 2 if I walked a mile from old Blair to the SS metro station, 3 if I took a bus up Wayne to the metro. Kids can walk a mile. MCPS walk zone assumes elementary school kids can walk a mile. Certainly HS students can. It’s 15-20 min. It’s good for you |
Depending on where you're going and your ability to walk, you can transfer. |
Why would they start doing that now? |
| I used to walk 2.5miles from school—it’s doable and good exercise. |
Because I am not a fan of the behavior of that demographic. |
Their kids also are a reflection of their parents’ ideology, so no I would not want my kids exposed to their subtle racism and classism. |

I walked 10 km to and back from school in a small town in Siberia. Fighting off mountain tigers, wolves and bears. I want the same for my children . |
Something seemed to change in her and Montoya after winter break. I liked them back then but then they got in line. |
I warned you all not to vote for Montoya. |
Sure it does. The stop is well inside the walk zone. Depending on where you live, it may be closer to your house than old Wootton. |
