Crown neighborhood, QO, RM, whatever left is overcrowded |
Why should they? Parts of the current Wootton boundary is very close to Crown. It should have the boundary redrawn. Makes no sense to have that little island going to Wootton when it's close to Crown. Redrawing boundaries is not about not upsetting people. |
Neighborhoods near Crown are currently zoned for Wootton. Makes sense to include it. |
Only part that makes sense is that triangle. Not stone mill not lakewood not Dufief not Travilah |
None of the options have only that triangle rezoned |
Yes, agreed! I don't see how the various proposed changes to the Wootton cluster help anything. As far as I can tell, they are moving out people who want to be there and moving in people who don't. These seem like changes for the sake of changes and nothing else. If the goal here is populating new schools to reduce overcrowding, there's no need to touch Wootton (though I'd be OK with adding some people to alleviate overcrowding elsewhere). |
Parts of those areas are closer to Crown than Wootton. I thought people wanted proximity as much as possible. |
No that is only a bunch of townhouses and maybe some apartments. Not enough to play with Wooton. They should go to crown they are in waking distance but to take Stonemill out of wooton one of its largest feeders is stupid logistics. Wooton is under enrolled. |
? You or a PP said to leave Wootton alone. I said there are parts of the Wootton cluster that are nearer to Crown HS, so why should Wootton cluster be left alone. Also, again, some of the neighborhoods near Stonemill and Dufief are closer to Crown than Wootton, as an example. I thought we didn't want kids on longer bus rides. |
All four options added the whole Wayside ES to Wootton, so Wootton is not under-enrolled when that happens. Wayside doesn't want to go to Wootton anyways. They should leave both Churchill and Wootton alone. |
| Why isn't Frost included?? |
So, Churchill and wootton cluster stay the same is not fair and it is not an option. |
then tell me what's fair? |
How does this premium work in a school district? Can you not buy a house in the new district that you prefer, and now you will have two premiums, more better than before? |
Totally agree 100%. |
