I caught that after the second episode where we meet Robby’s son. It was very obvious. Robby’s son going to a music festival possible wanna be shooter on the list. Robby gives up his ticket. Perfect set up for Robby’s kid ending up in the trauma bay with gunshot wounds. The season ends the way it began losing someone he loves at the hospital. Oh yeah and he’s going to take the drugs in his pocket. He’s going to break after this. And yes, no one ever wants to watch movies with me because 20 minutes in I have the beginning, middle and end figured out. |
He was his protege. Id course he’s mad. Robbie has invested a lot in him. |
So now both Robby and Langdon will be drug addicts? Doubtful. Also, Jake is his “sort of stepson.” Not his real son. |
Lol you must be talking about Whitaker. Langdon is a cutie, butt chin and all |
+1 |
By never did you mean the beginning of the next episode? |
LOL but they were kind of desperate. I thought it was a great episode. |
I was shocked he let him stay but I guess there was no other choice. He seems like a prime candidate for rehab and supervised reinstatement, but not quite sure what the criteria are for that. |
Wow, that episode was so hard to watch. We had a mass shooting in our community and this hit hard. The chaos of it all.
I'm still processing, but one moment that stood out in the chaos was Mel telling Dana she needed clips and blood, Dana responding the clips were elsewhere and Mel asserting she needed them ASAP. I think Mel is just about everyone's favorite character, and I thought this was a nice moment showing that not only is she extremely skilled and kind, but she's also stepping into the authoritative role that doctors need to assume at times. How is Robby going to get off the hook letting Langdon work? I have so many questions and so many characters I'm worried about. I don't care that Jake wasn't legally Robby's stepson, he clearly relates to him that way, and watching him work calmly and then momentarily seeing the panic definitely got to me. |
Mel is one of my favorites, but I also loved that she decided to quickly donate the blood to save the mom's (Sylvia) life. When I donate blood, I am exhausted and couldn't imagine needing to work in an ER like that. |
This is the best show I've watched in so long. I hate that the next episode is a week away and it's the last one. I want season 2 already. |
Finally watching this. Definitely brings back memories of ER. I like how there isn’t any dramatic music and it seems like a more realistic, raw version of ER. Was surprised it’s even produced by John Wells. I wonder how much medical knowledge Noah Wylie has picked up from over the years- he’s effortless at playing a doctor. He looks good but a little rough around the edges-Dr. Carter has definitely gone through some stuff over the years. I almost wish they had connected the storylines and that this was a continuation of his character. Good stuff-glad it’s been renewed for a 2nd season |
Oh, yes, that was awesome. I was also talking to the screen, “PLEASE, get her some juice!” |
I hate Robby not knowing what happened to Jake. You could just feel that tension throughout the episode. Dana was an absolute standout in this episode - I love how she calls Robby “Cap” like captain. She is an amazing asset to the team - very calm and capable.
Dr Javadi yelling, “Read the f*$king room, Mom,” had me laughing but at the same….she’s just not professional. Always tense and freaking out when her mom is nearby - I wouldn’t want her as my dr. She seems incompetent at those times. I don’t like seeing a doctor get so rattled. It just dawned on me that Dr. Collins wasn’t on this episode at all - and I didn’t miss her! I still think she’s one of the weakest links. Her chemistry just isn’t there with the other doctors. |
I forgot to add…I loved seen Dr Langdon back in action!!!! I wish they hadn’t made him a drug addict. |
