Uh, seems like Trump's visit to the NABJ is not going well...

She is half black Jamaican (her father) and half Indian (her mom). She has never not been black.

She is the first Indian-American to become a Senator, and first Indian-American woman to become a Senator.
She is NOT the first black person to become a Senator, that was Hiram Rhodes Revels, 1870.
She is NOT the first black woman to become a Senator, that was Carol Mosely Braun, 1993.

Hope your confusion is now cleared up.

Her father is half Jamaican and half white. Mother is all Indian. Harris is more Indian than anything and she has presented her self as Indian until it was convenient for her to be black.

This.

Are you weirdos keeping tabs on her purported instances of racially “presenting” as Indian or Black? Do you track this info in a spreadsheet? It’s comically strange the way that you cultists are so in the bag for your racist emperor that you sort of lemming-like agree with him, even though his entire performance at NABJ was grotesque.

Trump/MAGA is struggling to find a line of attack. This is their latest futile attempt to try to field test something. It's definitely weird that they think this has legs. I mean who does this appeal to?

This guy is not only Black but can’t stand white people.

But would Kamala get in front of a crowd of Heritage foundation donors/moms for liberty supporters/etc… and do a Q&A?

Because, honestly it’s not entirely that dissimilar of an analogy.

Black people, generally vote.. what 80%+ Democrat?.. I think Black women at higher rates (and it was three Black women questioning him). And journalists have been one of the groups most at odds with him. What are the chances even 5% of these attendees voted for him ever?

It was a bad interview, but I think the fact that he was willing to go for it says a lot.

Can you imagine stumblin’ mumblin’ Joe doing a Q&A in that hostile of environment? Or Harris? No, because their overlords wouldn’t allow them because they know how awful it would be.

Just another reminder about how the Democratic ticket is controlled by a political machine which is itself strictly controlled by donors.

Whereas Trump is an individual who is beholden to no one except voters.

If Heritage Foundation Donors and Moms of Liberty Supporters were journalists….

Either this was a bad call on the Trump team’s part, or they wanted to get him some air (any publicity is good publicity per Trump). Don’t know which, but I suspect the former. I think he honestly believes that he is in fact the best President for POC after Abraham Lincoln.

I understand there’s not a 1:1 comparison because most journalists are extremely liberal.

My point is, he was willing to go out of his comfort zone.

Did Biden ever even do a one on one interview at Fox with someone who was super critical of him?

You are assuming that Black journalists are Black first rather than being journalists first. We could easily look at white men and make the same sorts of assumptions about their political bent based on their race and gender, but somehow that's a critique that is only leveled at bipoc and women.

Not true. White men are judged as a group all the time. Just read DCUM. I am not a Trump supporter.

So what if she’s more Indian than anything else (although I have no idea if her paternal grandparents are black and white; do you have any proof for that claim? Wiki says they’re Afro-Jamaican). The world perceives her by how she looks, and that is as a woman of color. Hell, she was bussed as part of a desegregation plan at Berkeley

And when exactly do you think she started presenting herself as black? When she went to a HBCU? When she joined AKA? When she served as the president of its chapter of the Black Law Students Association?

Harris has not, as you and Donold seems to think been running away from her heritage.

Just to answer your question above, since I'm pretty sure PP won't come back to do so, the argument is that Donald Harris is descendant on one side from a white slave owner who died in 1843.

If folks can't guess how an enslaved person ended up having a white man's baby in the 1820s, then I don't know what to tell them.

I love the way the right is triggered by the opening question when the opening question was a reporter simply repeating Trump's own words.

Thanks, PP. Do these people actually hear themselves?

If “she turned black!!!!” is the worst criticism her opponent can come up with, doesn’t this bode well for Kamala Harris?

The woman must be as clean as a whistle if this is the best anyone can come up with.

Trump campaign is floundering. Expect things to get even more wild. He does not have good advisors. Chris LaCivita is a nut and his kids have a lot of influence and are morons.

One of the ironies of Trump’s “you’re not black” attack on Harris is that his family denied for years that they were of German descent, claiming they were of Swedish descent. it seems that being of German descent was not good for business.

I think they are just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks, but this is also what happens when you don't have senior Black folks in the campaign war room. The Trump folks just don't know how harmful these attacks are, because there is no one in the room telling them that lots of Black folks, particularly those descended from enslaved people, have white heritage.

The only thing they could pin on him as offensive was his statement that he didn’t know Kamala Harris is Black.

That’s it.

She’s Indian-American isn’t she? She looks more Indian than Black to me, too. Look at her hair.

If her trolls are going to keep screaming anti-White screeds while she makes her entire candidacy about her descriptors, she might want to develop a thicker skin. Unless she’s ashamed of her Indian heritage that is.

In my experience, the NAACP doesn’t distinguish between White races. There are all just White. Hence the zoom titles the Harris campaign chose for their supporters.
