Here is how to transfer to any high school in the area

Realistically only three schools shouldn’t forfeit. West Springfield, Chantilly, and South County

Annandale
Lewis
Falls Church
Edison
Mount Vernon
Justice

All should just forfeit. Not worth it. No one would blame them. Skip that week.

Hayfield plays in the weakest district in the region by a mile.

Ok - 6 of the 14. But the two private school kids from St John’s and Dematha could have been living anywhere prior to the transfer. St Johns runs a bus up Rt 1 every morning right through Hayfields district so maybe the kid already lived there. DeMatha kid probably involved a move but not necessarily all the way from Hyattsville.

The St Johns transfer lists washington dc as his hometown in an online bio.

Sure, its theoretically possible that he already lived in zone for Hayfield. But extremely unlikely.

Surely Reid is planning on attending the game tomorrow night to support her decision?

They should forfeit but then they would be the ones likely penalized for not offering their kids up for slaughter by the Prince William kids recruited to Hayfield.

I don’t see what they could do if the kids sick-out strike on their own.

Penalized by who?

Rumored that FCPS has suggested renewal of coaching positions would be at risk if teams forfeit.

That's insane. You can't force kids to play in an unsafe situation.

Yes, someone going to the game tomorrow night please report back on whether Reid was there to support her admin's decision and the vibe of the crowd.

But FCPS is claiming all 14 are residents of Hayfield boundary?

You have to read what they claimed very carefully. The evidence they decided to look at (and not look at) and the people they decided to talk to (or avoided talking to) didn't show any irregularities. They aren't saying anywhere that these 14 kids actually live in Hayfield zone. They did not really look to find out.

She's annoying, but I am honestly looking forward to the Asra Normani article delving into this. You know she's already got her FOIA request in.

It is so sad, but I agree.
