My kid has been blowing off studying because their college doesn't have a language requirement (and because they had four other APs) but has not decided to try to go for it so they can get general credit. The Reading section is their biggest challenge, but any suggestions (now that there's <48 hours to go) would be helpful. Wherever you think the low-hanging fruit might be. Thanks!

You might phone Princeton Review and see if they have a tutor who can give you 2 hours. its unlikely as they tend to start with 10 hour minimums but you can ask.

Its a very difficult AP.

Great idea - thank you!

Or try Wyzant. They're all independent contractors so they charge by the hour. You can find someone who has time over the next 48 hours. We've had great luck with finding tutors on there.

NO. I strongly advise against Wyzant. We tried about 5 math tutors, none of whom knew the curriculum, several of whom made mutiple mistakes. The tutors on Wyzant are not vetted for their skills, they're unemployed randos looking to make some cash.

You need to improve your data analysis skills. We have had amazing success with every tutor we worked with--way better than DMV teachers or tutoring centers.

+1 best AP Calc tutor via Wyzant. Also, excellent ACT tutor for English— raised score 6 pts.

I don't need to improve my data analysis skills. I'd rather pay $5k to Princeton Review to get a "guaranteed 5" on an exam with the guarantee of 100% fees back if its a 3 or less and 25% fees back if its a 4.

And their tutors are professors actively working at prestigious universities in the subject, not weirdos from the DMV.

DP but we've had great success with Wyzant, most recently for SAT and AP Calc (wonder if we are using the same tutor, PP?). With Wyzant, you get a "trial session" with a tutor to ensure it's a good fit. The tutors aren't "weirdos from the DMV" - they are global and we have found the best luck with HS teachers and college professors looking to supplement their income.

That is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever read.

Pre-calc reported as easy.

Yep. My DS felt it was easy

My DC also felt it was fine, easy even.

That's great. It means only those who are serious and wealthy will get 5's

AP Precalc was designed for kids taking precalc as seniors who may never take another math course. The test is designed accordingly.

Hmm. At our school, a lot of kids are planning to take it junior year before Calc AB (senior year).
