What?? It's the haters who respond with record speed. |
The college board site says they start releasing results on July 8th.
Given past experience, that doesn't mean ALL results will be available first thing on July 8th. I have kids taking a few starting this week. One kid is really ill with Flu B so has anti-virals and anything else we can pump him with, to be well enough to take them. |
My (now) senior took those same exact three last year as a junior. He didn't do so well on the chemistry one, he says because the test covered a lot of things his teacher didn't teach. I wish he had studied more outside of class-I think it's great that your daughter did! Good luck to her! |
Yes, this has my kid stressed too, as he feels he needs the AP scores to bolster deflated grades. Already has the SAT scores to show it, thankfully, so that was a boost in confidence. |
My senior was very stressed about them the last three years. They studied outside of class. Did very well and was happy to be able to put those scores on their apps.
But this year…I’m glad they don’t really care. Awful teachers for two of the three APs this year and a busy spring. I actually wish the test was optional like it was eons ago when I was in (just a couple) APs. |
There are make-up days at the end of the exam period. Don’t take it sick |
Agree! |
Same. Kid opted out of 2 AP tests - fine with me. Has three over the next two weeks which do not matter at all as she is in at a school she loves and did well on AP tests last year when it mattered. |
My senior took five last year, got four 5s and a 4 and anecdotally we think helped get them into the college they are happily committed to. AP scores are huge given grade inflation.
This year barely studying for the five APs they are taking even though they could place out of classes and get credits, way too serious a case of senioritis. |
The make ups are not the same test and my kid heard they can have harder FRQs so be careful. |
For seniors it doesnt matter but for my sophomore and these juniors it really does |
Absolutely. AP scores are arguably more important than SATs/ACTs with grade inflation. Really worth studying - both for college admissions and earning credits. |
It matters if the college allows the kid to skip an intro class if they get a good score on the exam. My senior cancelled all his AP exams except those. |
Me again. He studied hard for all the dozen AP courses he took over 4 years. We got him a tutor to prep for some of the exams. |
Shes not planning on doing that so we’re good. |
