“Cumulative numbers”? No, thanks!

What’s wrong with cumulative numbers?

Cumulative numbers can hide important changes and trends—it doesn’t tell the current story. For example, all 4 Penn admits may have happened 4 years ago. There have been zero Penn admits for 3 years. If I’m a STA student (or prospective student) interested in Penn, I would like to know this information.

You are a shit stirrer and won’t get into STA so no worries there.

You are incorrect. There were 2 STA admits last year.

Lol—I don’t want to be admitted to STA. I’m a parent and I have daughters. My oldest daughter applied and was admitted to NCS. Thankfully, she was admitted to her top choice coed private, so she declined NCS’ offer. My youngest daughter didn’t apply to NCS because, after the first admissions cycle with my oldest daughter, I wasn’t impressed with the Cathedral Schools.

I hope that you enjoy that joyless, stifling environment though. It seems like a good fit for you.

Good riddance! I highly doubt she was admitted.

I don’t have anything to prove to you. Believe it or not. Thankfully, she attends a much better school.

Doubtful unless her writing and grammar are much more advanced than yours.

Doubtful that she was admitted to NCS. So if you are not interested in Cathedral schools then why harping on STA. Get a life.

Some silly STA boy keeps bragging about the school’s admissions to top colleges…without a shred of evidence.
I simply called him out. While I’m “getting a life,” you should also look for one.

Huh? You realize there are internal documents so all parents know where students last year and years past are currently attending. Because they don't want to share with a nosy person like you doesn't make it true. They have nothing to prove to you. I have also seen these stats but am certainly not sharing them on a public forum.

Ok, then stop sharing. Period.
No one needs to hear about STA’s college admits at all, except current students and families. Stop coming to this forum to tell us about STA’s results, without any proof. The end and goodbye.

NCS wasn’t a difficult admit. You’re acting like it’s Sidwell or GDS.

Seriosly, it's 2023 not 2003. Sidwell and GDS only admit Ivy pedigree. Just look at this year's amazing ED results!

they are both almost twice the size of Cathedral schools so need to combine both STA and NCS to get an accurate picture. STA only has 75-80 boys in a class. NCS 80.

Preppy high society families are not sending their daughters to Sidwell or GDS. It is normally an all girls school and NCS is the top in that regard followed by Holton.

Oh no! My daughters are missing out on attending school with “preppy high society” girls. How will they manage to experience some of that misery, without actually attending NCS [wringing hands]. 🙄

So you don't even have a son, let alone a son at STA and you're lying and making stuff up about STA Penn Admits?

What is wrong with you?

Get a freaking life!! People like you are so unbelievably weird.

You should really take it down a notch. Better yet, focus some of this energy on STA’s football scandal/coverup.
People who live in glass houses…

you are replying to at least 3 differnent posters

Ok, PSA Announcement:
All of you should focus your energy on STA’s football scandal/coverup.

This. GDS and Sidwell appeal to certain families but more traditional preppy families and the social elite types tend to send to single sex schools. There are exceptions but overall single sex schools with the exception of Maret and some to Potomac.

Oh look it's the sassy Sidwell booster lady who promotes all things Sidwell and puts everyone else in their place with sassy comebacks and insults.

She is really something to behold, espousing her Quaker values that surely make the school so proud to have her on their side.

Hey sassy Sidwell lady - what proof do you require to ease your sassy mind ?

Report cards and tuition payments from Ivy league schools ??????

I see you’re good at math. Sidwell (125) is almost twice the size of NCS (80)? Is NCS’ lunch also twice as good as Sidwell’s? Tell me more fairytales.

True. Our grade at Beauvoir only 5 kids out of 85 applied to Sidwell and GDS. There was little interest. In fact when they came to the school for their coffee presentation there was not a good showing and it was actually embarrassing. While they are good schools they are of zero interest to certain types of families.

Doubtful that she was admitted to NCS. So if you are not interested in Cathedral schools then why harping on STA. Get a life.

NCS 80.

I see you’re good at math. Sidwell (125) is almost twice the size of NCS (80)? Is NCS’ lunch also twice as good as Sidwell’s? Tell me more fairytales.

Very few people at the Cathedral schools applied to GDS and Sidwell as well. They attract very different families. In fact most of the parties are single sex schools interact. Sidwell and GDS interact with other schools but kids do not know many if any kids at those schools but know most kids at schools like Holton, Landon, Prep, Visi, etc.. Different worlds.
