And no one questioned where the body was to be kept for months before spring came? It’s not like they have people building caskets and no casket store. Who wouldn’t question this? Bc the family would have wanted to pay respects…

We get a hint that David is not what he says he is when the widow serves him a full plate of dinner, while everyone else has a ladleful in a bowl. The injustice of this scene communicates that he is using his position for personal gain and that the rest of the community somehow has bought into his tyranny.

NP here - the PP was probably responding to the “see how that works?” know it all tone. But that PP played his or herself - Pedro Pascal is a massive TV and a rising movie star so the “gotcha” didn’t work.

Admittedly they don't go into detail, but these people are living hand to mouth, literally, so I don't think they are expending time and energy to build caskets. Telling the community that they are storing the bodies in a shed or boathouse until the spring probably wouldn't raise too many eyebrows. But any adult with a brain in their head has to be suspicious.

Interesting. I didn't read a lot of tone in that. If I were to read tone into that, I would certainly also read it into the one that responds to..."Are you serious?" And I'm not sure I would say "massive star" for Pedro. I knew him from GoT and that is it. (Though I do love him.) Why would anyone assume that PP legitimately did not recognize him? What, it is more likely that they did recognize him and pretended they didn't?
