This World Cup reveals how discriminatory and racists are many European authorities and players against South Americans. It shouldn’t be this way. Van Gaal is one of them.

He has a long history of disrespecting players from South America. European press only talks about Messi’s provocative celebration when in reality it was Van Gaal and his team who were consistently provocative.

You don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't trash talk Messi at the pregame presser (specially when you are an old fat guy not on the field)

Some spectators noticed the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner uncharacteristically goading Van Gaal after dispatching a penalty in the 73rd minute to put his country 2-0 ahead, before Wout Weghorst stunned Argentina with a late brace.

Messi is usually the classiest man on the pitch, both in terms of sportsmanship as well as footballing ability, so why did he celebrate in front of Van Gaal after scoring from the spot? Let’s take a look…

'WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?' - LIONEL MESSI TAKES POP AT WOUT WEGHORST, CONFRONTS LOUIS VAN GAAL AT WORLD CUP
‘The Battle of Lusail’ at the 2022 World Cup will live long in the memory after a penalty shootout, 16 yellow cards and the spiciest of on-pitch brawls. Oh, and Lionel Messi calling someone a “dummy” in his post-match interview. Oh, and Emi Martinez telling Louis van Gaal to “keep his mouth shut”. Oh, and the Argentina players celebrating wildly in front of the crestfallen Dutch. What drama!

Anonymous wrote:Holy crap, Grant Wahl is CBS new’s soccer analyst

US soccer just tweeted their condolences.

So sad. He was a great journalist for soccer. His last tweet was 5 hours ago questioning a call from the Argentina game.

It seems he did mention he thought he might have bronchitis in his last podcast. But being kicked out of a game in Qatar for wearing a rainbow t shirt as a journalist will undoubtedly cause speculation.

Well this is completely awful. I hope somehow there’s a mistake and he’s still alive.

DP. There is no mistake, Grant Wahl is confirmed dead. The only question is whether someone made it happen. Wahl was getting death threats over his pride shirt and his critical coverage of Qatar’s human rights abuses.

I was wondering if it could have been a blood clot and read this by someone else having the same thought:-
