Democrats have tried to limit solitary confinement many times, and a number of blue states have done it. It always runs into the republican “tough on crime” people who kill it.

It’s not solitary confinement - that’s the least of this guy’s problems in this prison.

My question is, do you think what I just linked to is OK because this guy is a 1/6er? Because I don’t think it’s ok for ANYONE to go through this, not even a mass shooter. We are better than this as a nation.

Take your own advice. Go on over to the Metro DC politics thread and read all of the posts from republicans that decry the soft on crime liberal policies that make crime worse. Republicans love love love to treat black criminals inhumanely.

Far from it, this guy had nine convictions for assault or similar before 2021 and was already on parole when he sent a Capitol Policewoman to the hospital with a concussion and other injuries.
