Good article on Rhodes' background https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/founder-far-right-militia-once-warned-federal-tyranny-then-came-n1256546

How did he lose his eye? Earlier photos don't show the eye patch. Was there a suicide attempt? They better watch him.

He lost it with a misfire with his own gun.

A gun you say? Seems ironic. Maybe gun owners should be required to have training. To be clear I've fired thousands of rounds on dozens of ranges with tens of different firearms and have never seen a "misfire" injure anyone. It sounds like a story.

Not quite true. There are seven states (so far) in which fraudulent documents were submitted regarding the vote. That’s on paper. And he’s not smart, none of them are smart.

His lunatic supporters created those documents, not Trump himself.

He's always using others as tools, ensuring that he keep one or two degrees of separation from the criming. He's very smart about not implicating himself.

I agree with this. Any hope that Trump will face criminal liability (or even civil) is a pipe dream. The one shot was the second impeachment. I'm still sort of surprised the GOP didn't cut him off at the knees then. I mean, at some point, don't you want to be free of this clown? His followers are rabid, to be sure, but the electorate hated the guy so much that the Republicans lost the House, Senate, and had the first one-term President in 30 years.

Someday the majority is going to absolutely stick it to the minority in this country and I will not feel one iota of sympathy.

Where is our “if there was sedition why are there no sedition charges?” friend???

This is savage. LOL.

Also read the charges against Caldwell. I hope any retirement and benefits he receives from the military are canceled. Traitor.

He dropped a loaded gun (a rifle, I think it was) and it went off and shot himself in the eye.

No, they love him. Your mistake is in assuming that the GOP doesn’t agree with Trump, when it is clear as day that they agree with him. They do not like the Constitution. They do not like rights, they do not like equality. They want the world of some long ago horrible time back, just with iPhones.

Probably plumping one of the dumb threads on which the GOP trolls feed. Reality cannot be permitted to puncture their right wing bubble until it comes in wrapped in the fat of Fox’s spin. It’s like a reality vaccine. It prevents the right wing propaganda victim from really having to feel what reality is because their immune response is already primed with nonsense.

They’re all exactly the same across all the states. Someone organized it.

Probably Rudy or one of the other sacrificial lolyers.

It’s amazing how active they are.

In light of this, I'd really like to know who Jim Acosta's "source close to the White House" was.

Stephanie Grisham, maybe? She's been pretty eager to reveal everything and is giving a lot of new info to the 1/6 Commission.

I'd say hitting the eye was a miss.

It just seems awfully focused for a misfire. I have seen suicides go in through the eye when using a rifle. Think about it, odds are he would have been grazed or injured on the side of the head, less of a symmetrical injury. If it happened when he was 28 he was wearing a prosthetic before he decided the eye patch looked cool. Reading the indictment he spent about $10k on guns and ammo within days of January 6. His license to practice law was revoked in 2015 so how was he earning money? Who was financing his gun fetish?

Someone like Erik Prince.

There is an Erik Prince connection here. I am hopeful that this rounds of indictments means we are getting closer to the top of the pyramid.
