| We had a great grill night yesterday and looking forward to many more. However, since we are vegan, there's only so many times I want veggie burgers, corn and pineapple and banana on the grill. Any other ideas? Up next, we were thinking veggie kabobs with a peanut satay sauce. Thanks! |

Portobello mushroom caps with teriyaki sauce are good.
Also, skewers of marinated eggplant, red pepper and onion are good. If you are willing to do seafood, a marinade with hoisin sauce or oyster sauce, soy, minced ginger and garlic works great. Otherwise, your marinade of choice. |

I grill tofu all the time. Try the extra firm Twin Oaks kind.
I marinate in a mixture of: soy sauce sesame oil ginger garlic sriracha splash of OJ Cut up veggies (I go for sweet onions, bell peppers of whatever color pleases you, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.) and toss them in the marinate too. Then skewer everything and put on the grill. You can also do this with a Mediterranean dressing of olive oil, lemon and garlic. Both are amazing. |
Have you met many vegans who are willing to do seafood? I never have. Just curious. |

what about varying the type of veggie burgers?
Make chickpea burgers or psuedo-falafel and grill them. |
| oh, and grilled potato cakes are another option. Although, you'd have to add something for protein. |

Grilled caesar salad is great. You grill bread with olive oil and garlic for the croutons and the then grill the romaine (hearts ut in half not individual leaves) quickly and serve immediately.
Grilled asparagus with olive oil and garlic is easy. Grilled peaches over vanilla ice cream. |
OP here....yeah, not willing to do seafood but thanks for the ideas!

That should have said "seafood sauces". And yes, I have met one vegan who was like the old Kosher jews who would eat Seafood in a Chinese restaurant on Christmas day. They would eat a seafood based sauce if it wasn't obviously a seafood product. Yes, a somewhat casual vegan, but that's why I included "Otherwise, your marinade of choice." |
| I did greek veggie kabobs a few weeks ago. Marinated veggies in lemon, olive oil and oregano. Served with tzatziki sauce, hummus, feta, olives, tabbouleh |
Again, these things are not vegan. I'm not vegan mostly because I can't give up feta, though, so this sounds great to me! |
| You can grill just about any vegetable. One of our favorites is sweet onions. Slice summer squashes length-wise and throw on the grill. They have grill accessories that make it easier to grill smaller or fragile items. |
| marinate tofu and grill it |
| I make my tzatziki vegan: http://greek.food.com/recipe/vegan-tzatziki-239629 Can't do anything about the feta |
You can make vegan tzatziki sauce. Not sure if there's a good vegan feta sub though. |
