Did YOU vote? How did it go?

It was not that bad, Mont. Co., the wait was all of 10 minutes.
Any one had a bad experiences today?

NoVa - arrived at 5:50, was out by 6:30, although the line was longer when I left than when we started. No problems what so ever. Hats off to the poll workers!

I think the media is inappropriately hyping the lines. Reminds me of how they completely overblow snow reports and then completely miss the one surprise storm.

The lines move pretty fast it took us only about 20 minutes and this was during the "rush period" of 8am -9am.

Took me 1.5 hours in MoCo. But it's not raining (yet) and it's a festive atmosphere. THe line was getting shorter by 8:30 - I think the rush was early on.

I arrived at the polling station at 7:15 and it took almost two hours to vote. The longest line by several magnitudes that I've encountered in over 20 years of voting in DC.

Was that the pre-work crowd? The lines must be shorter now?

I voted in MC this morning. I arrived at 7:45 and was finished by 8:30. When I left the building, I noticed there was no longer a long line outside -- I guess I just ended up in the morning pre-work rush hour voting line. I bet most polls will be quieter for the next several hours. Driving into work this morning on 16th St. around 9 or 9:30 I noticed very long lines at the Bell Multicultural school as well as a couple of other polling places right off 16th downtown.

I arrived at the polls in DC at 7:45 and it took 1.5 hours - out at 9:10 AM. The line looked shorter by that time. It was a bit rough b/c my husband and I had our toddler and a baby with us. They seemed to have a problem checking in -- the front desk was broken down to check in by the first letter of your last name. While some lines were non-existent, t-z and i-m, the others were very backed up. I've experienced the same problem at this polling place in the past (have been voting in DC for 20 years) and for some reason they don't seem to address the issue but do it the same way each time. The t-z folks were probably out in 10 mintues while the a-h and n-s were not moving at all.

That's funny. At my polling place, they kept pulling A-H people out of the line and sending them in to vote because that line was empty. It was us S-Z folks that had to wait for so long. We need to integrate our neighborhoods to smooth out the last names

There was no wait for the V-Z crowd in Reston. The only line there was was for the S-M.

For us the big wait was P-Z. Definite segregation!
