The memo outlines what was to take place int he chambers (until Pence relented) and the insurrectionists were to delay the proceedings (remember the phone call to Sen. Tuberville (R-AL) asking to just delay things a day...so the states in question's republican legislatures could call special sessions and scuttle the will of their voters.

GOP on this forum were just fine with a 100% stolen election via Senate and "public" insurrection. This is high treason.

This got its own thread - deservedly IMO - here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1002387.page

Right wing nut job Herrige has an opinion, eh?

I don’t know when the GOP collectively decided that sedition wasn’t a big deal, but it is. And I hope it ends with the severest possible punishment for the organizers, enough to deter you goons from trying again.

Oh please this judge thinks these defendants are being persecuted? All DOJ charged the woman who said that she wanted to put a bullet in Nancy Pelosiā€˜s brain with was a misdemeanor.

The January 6 defendants are getting much more lenient treatment than other defendants accused of similar federal crimes.

Most other judges are concerned that pretrial treatment and sentencing for these defendants is too lenient:

Yeah, shocking that this Trump donor is sympathetic to these lunatics. He’s also the guy who let one of the defendants travel to Mexico while under ā€œhouse arrestā€ for felony charges.

I have been wondering all this time why we haven’t heard anything about what the Park Police were doing or if they were even there. And here it is:

So once again we have more proof that this came from Trump himself, and still he had the total and complete support of every POS GOP (with the exception of Cheney and Kinzinger, though their politics remain as trash as ever). The media fails totally to cover this, still covering the GOP like they are a political party and not what they are, which is a fascist party in the process of attempting to overthrow the government. Astonishing.

ā€œFour major access points that Jan. 6 rioters used to break into and overtake the U.S. Capitol had something unusual in common: They were among a dozen or so ground-floor windows and glass-paned doors that had not been recently reinforced.
The majority of the Capitol’s 658 single-pane windows were quietly upgraded during a 2017-19 renovation of the historic building. The original wooden frames and glass were covered with a second metal frame containing bomb-resistant glass.

But planners skipped about a dozen ground-floor windows, including some located in doors, because they were deemed to be low risk in the event of implosion, largely due to their discreet or shielded location, or because the building couldn’t structurally handle the load of the heavier frames.ā€

It was an inside job. And those Republican terrorist schmoes are still working there. Or are in retirement in Florida.
