My org regularly receives large gifts anonymously and/or we are instructed not to issue a press release.

The non profit likely wanted to issue the press release because tweeting out that Harry and Meghan gave to them will get them tons of press leading to a lot of other people to donate to them. This is a double edged sword of an issue. The reality is that celebrity attention brings attention from a broad audience and if a celebrity is choosing to say, 'don't tell anyone I did this' then they are, yes, giving the gift, but they are depriving the organization of the waterfall of other gifting that could come from actual advocacy/promotion.

I get that. But the real takeaway is that many wealthy people—including some celebrities—don’t want to draw attention to their charity. I think it’s because they aren’t looking for accolades; that makes them better people in my book. Doing good things without an agenda or personal gain is true charity.

This gift seems more like PR. It’s akin to buying an ad.

Harry was pretty endearing in this video. I think he has a good heart and truly wants the best for his family. I still can’t stand Meghan-even her cameo gave off an impression of fake-ness.

What a great segment. So much for everyone saying over and over again that Meghan is the one making the decisions for this family. I think he made it quite clear that he's the one that chose their path with her input/agreement. Saying she "signed on" for this. I also appreciated his take on "The Crown" vs the British Press.

The "privilege" is interesting, because the previously unwritten rule was that the two went together, service and privilege. Now it's explicitly spelled out, if you don't want to do the royal service, you don't get the royal privilege.

He'll have to make do with being an American, a person without royal privilege. And frankly, he doesn't need to bother with "a life of service" anymore.

I think it's safe to say that Megan belongs in the same "we can't exactly say why we don't like her" category as Anne ("Annie?") Hathaway.

IT's such a cliche and juvenile term, but "Fake", actually does fit her pretty well.

They never said that. They felt the British press was abusive and as part of the BRF, they were particularly constrained in dealing with it.

Harry has been the only one in the relationship that has given up more: his country, his family and history and future of his and their children.

Meghan has only gained and got everything she wanted. One day Harry will realize this and we will have to see how he reacts.
