I keep seeing all these posts about this neighborhood. I am in NWDC and have never heard of it. Where the heck is it? I'm assuming near Vienna but am just guessing.

North of 66, west of the Dulles Toll Road, east of 495. Vienna is west of 495 and much, much nicer.

You do realize these are all sort of hypothetical places to us.

So, is it like the silver spring of VA? The kentlands of VA?

NP, but equally curious.

No because the schools are better and the location and metro location are better

If you take GW Parkway into NoVA, Exit 123 McLean. It's the last neighborhood before Tysons Mall and all of Tysons Corner. hence, the location makes it $$$.

(you enter by going left on Anderson Rd.)

I don't know from Pimiento Hills, but it has got to be far shittier than either of those places, with which, even as a District resident, I am slightly familiar. Silver Spring has something of a walkable downtown with a Metro station and some kick-ass so-kitschy-it's-good mid-C suburban architecture. It also has a lot of educated "creatives" raising families there.

Kentlands I know because I used to have a friend up there. It's pretty nondescript, but at least the fakety-new stuff doesn't look like Cracker Barrel-Walmart land.

So it'ssandwiched between downtown McLean and Tysons Corner (adjacent to them).

And the backside is adjacent to the beginning of Falls Church.

That's ok. Life out here by the sea serpent isn't half bad.

+1 on both locations. I haven't a clue and find all the squabbling about it funny.
