The father of Daron Wint, the man suspected of killing a Northwest D.C. couple, their young son, and their housekeeper, had been so frightened by threats his son made to shoot his own family that he sought a protective order barring the man from contacting them for a year.

Maryland court records show that over the last decade Mr. Wint has been the subject of numerous peace and protective orders.

sociopath

ok, butthat was a decade ago and stemmed mostly from him standing in the front yard or on the porch making threats. he has two convictions one for assualt (6 monthe sentence) and one for destroying property (none for sexual assualt - that is media confusing him with his brother)

he was in the marines and is a certified welder. peopel who knew him say they are shocked. His family was by the accounts of a neighbor normal and hardworking. He isn't a lowlife thug - he seems to have had options in his life. Good god that he chose this option. Leave the damn kid alive and unhurt.

Evidently not.

He must have placed his order over the phone, so whoever took his order might have remembered his voice/accent.
Unless he had one of the hostages place the order, but that'd be weird.

This entire story is horrifying and bizarre beyond belief!

i am also wondering who placed the money in the envelope and on the porch. The driver may have opened the envelope and threw it in the front seat or floor board. It may have fingerprints on the envelope. I am certain the police have the envelope.

Considering the fire, the smoke, etc. that DNA turned up on a piece of pizza is mind-boggling.

Not really, because the guy had a huge rap sheet and wasn't being put away from society.

The most mind-boggling fact for me is how stupid that guy had to be to order pizza in the midst of a hostage situation! I'm sure there was plenty of food in the fridge if he got hungry. WTF??

Just shows how insane he was. I think you have to be pretty insane to do what he did to that family. 2 pizzas tells me he had friends with him.

For the love...Domino's has a special for 2 pizzas at $5.99 each. Plus, they have minimum orders for delivery. If some of you ate something other kale, you'd know about ordering pizza. The pizzas prove nothing.

So he was trying to save money on a 2 pizza deal? WTF!

That is not an official statement from the Marine Corps and that does not describe an honorable discharge for medical reasons, which was reportedly backed up by documents.

By "peopel" You mean the 1 defense attorney who is trying to deflect any attention from this. Oh Oh he was a certified welder though! is this the one poster who is trying to clear the murderers good name?

Yes, I agree with this whole heartedly. I think most have been keeping hush publicly out of respect for the family's privacy.

I am a member of the NCS community and have many friends on FB who knew the family. No one is talking about it in my circle at all. I haven't even seen one mention, with the exception of a couple of links to the announcement of a suspect. I don't consider that indiscreet at all, and am surprised that others are talking. That said, I posted constantly about Relisha Rudd's disappearance. If I had known anyone on FB who knew her, would that somehow be an invasion of her family's privacy?

A crime in this city affects the city - not just the individuals. We all have emotions about it, as amply demonstrated on this thread. Some people are more open about such things than others. I am unlikely to judge anyone for feeling the need to talk about it.

I order from that Dominos all the time and never talk to anyone. Order online and when my teen is home alone I tell him to put the money in an envelope outside. I don't let him open the door for anyone.

No, you can order your Dominos online. Don't ask me how I know.

You don't let your teenager open the door to the pizza delivery guy?
