Well for my family, my spouse is out of a job after a layoff 6 months ago. So we both stopped contributing to 401ks because we need to ensure we have excess funds on hand as this drags on. Private sector, unrelated to government. US jobs are in the toilet thanks to Trump and it is brutal out there. But sure, brag about the stock market. |
It’s a circle jerk. More companies are spending money for Ai and chips while laying off thousands of employees and increasing dividends and buybacks. It’s great for the shareholders, not so great for the overall economy. Now let’s talk about Main Street. |
