Sons club director said the same thing as of now MLSN is staying BY for the boys however August through December players will be allowed to bioband down if they want to with less restrictions.

So remove the limitation of 3 biobanding players as long as they are Q4? We already have 3 biobanding players who play full-time.

So BY with an 8/1 cutoff?

This keeps their own kids from having to skip u12 to transfer from a SY to BY team but means that Aug to Dec birthdays coming from outside of the club would have to skip an age group or bio band down to join the club. Clubs are dependent on attracting talent from the outside. How many kids who are at an mlsnext club at u8/u9 are still there at u13 or older? Not many.

Mlsnext may stay BY… even to their own detriment… but it will only strengthen ecnl as a viable competitor. This is probably a benefit to spread RAE out but does nothing to help mlsnext.

No it won't, no matter that they do ECNL will still be second tier

And history is littered with big companies that went from dominance to bankruptcy just from making one wrong move.

The DA had then what has been always needed, a true partnership with the federation , and they were bigger than US Steel.

Then poof, and it was gone.

When MLSN wakes up in the morning , if GA is still staying BY, they'll know they have a partner, and if it isn't , they'll know they don't.

This is a total misquote. All this poster said was no announcement of any decision had been made, not saying that their club was staying BY. In other words, nothing new.

That way everyone wins! MLSN gets to say they are pro aligned and staying BY while still aligning themselves with SY. If they did this it would be pretty funny. But alas, this is nonsense. They will be SY like everyone else. That is 100% apparent now.

The people on that subreddit know less than the people in this one and that is saying a lot.
