If ECNL does this, Bethesda, FC Delco, and PDA will need to make the move. I'm not sure ECNL has the guts to do this.

it would be nice also if the leagues would go ahead and publish their tournament schedule. GA only has 3 showcases. if they are going to add more this upcoming season, they need to go ahead and post it

Yes, but not the equivalent of PDA. There are certain clubs that run ECNL and one of them is PDA. The other one is Pipeline.

Our club is making decisions based on "nothing big is going to happen"

Every club is different. Stop living in black and white. Some clubs can manage to do it and still be competitive, others try and it’s not competitive. Look at CISC, had 2 ECNL teams and finally loss the second team because it isn’t competitive.

The MLSN+GA partnership has found a way through ECNLs armor. If ECNL doesn't address more and more clubs will switch to MLSN+GA every year.

In my opinion is GA is doing this slowly. no reason in blowing things up right now especially with all the issues with the SY/BY. I think this time next year, we will see a huge move for ecnl girls teams that have mlsnext boys teams to GA. they are for a fact giving hints now to these ecnl girls clubs that have mlsnext. but the merger with mlsnext is new and I am sure they want to not mess things up. GA is probably laying the groundwork now, organizing conferences etc and doing the future legwork for these ecnl girls teams to move to GA.

MLSN+GA doesn't need to be overt saying do this or we'll do that. What they can do is give MLSN+GA to all the clubs around XYZ super girls ECNL club. This will prevent them from fielding boys teams and siphon talent away on the girls side making them uncompetitive. This is why GA+MLSN taking the middle level clubs is so dangerous to ECNL.

How about we focus on the future. If your daughter is 2012 or younger you may want to start looking for a GA club.
