Thoughts on this Kensington Heights house?

Is this price good for the neighborhood, in your opinion?

Wow, holy bathroom wall paper, batman.

I grew up not far from here...it's kind of the wrong side of Kensington, even though the immediate surrounding homes are nice. For the money, I'd rather live in Woodside or one of the closer-in Silver Spring neighborhoods. Similar if not better schools, although older homes and smaller yards.

OP here - Our kids are in private so schools not an issue. We would prefer to be in closer in Kensington but not seeing houses in the low $700's.

If you don't care about the schools it's nice if a little expensive for the neighborhood.

What's wrong with the schools?

ALBERT EINSTEIN HIGH SCHOOL

It is a house or two away from Kensington Nursery School. There is a lot of activity there, and when there's a special event, you may deal with some parking issues. And you are literally right on top of Kensington Heights park and playground. You may be OK with that, but just so you know...

It looks like master bath wall does not go all the way up to the ceiling, leaving it open to the bedroom. A friend had that in her house and hated it, you could always hear the other person taking a shower, flushing the toilet....

I like it OP. Hopefully the master bathjust has an awful paint job & not wallpaper.

I live in this neighborhood and really like it. This house is directly next to the park, which is nice, but I'd be a little concerned about dogs off their leashes. While there's nothing in the area of the park right next to the house, just be aware that there could be people hanging out at the park right next to the house and yard.

I like the house, except for the wallpapered bathroom, of course.

And enough with this "wrong side of Kensington" BS. So tired of the that stuff on DCUM.

Agree, PP. They should be lucky enough to live in the "wrong side of Kensington"!

Funny, I thought that was the "right" side of Kensington. Nicer neighbors and more down to earth.
