Since people seem to think her behavior is victimless.

I am a nanny. I am also an immigrant. We are the invisible people behind the Instagram posts of baking cookies, homemade baby food, sleeping babies, and organized pantries. We are the invisible people who allow people like this to live their best life. We are the ones with accents, different cultures, hardship, and have to worry about where we get our next paycheck. To take the experience of an actual immigrant and to wear it like cloak when it’s convenient is disgusting. It’s not okay. You say this doesn’t hurt anyone, but I’m here to tell you it does. My nanny friends and I don’t get to wear a new identity to change our status in life. Slap on a new name to be exotic... or get a job. To say no one is hurt, diminishes our experience. Working as a nanny is hard work and when women like that erase us and then claim our identities (accents, language, culture) as their own? No. Not okay. I don’t get to change who I am when it’s convenient.

Perhaps choose another career?

THIS! Times a million. It's just not okay.

You aren’t an indentured servant. Choose another career, lady.

You're disgusting.

Sorry, I didn’t realize people were forced into nannying for assh@les.

Oh, I know this might be shocking to some, but sometimes people have to take terrible jobs that they hate to get money. I know! It's crazy the things people have to do to survive when they aren't born into privilege like Hilaria. Stay with me though! People take that money from the crappy job (and let's be real, nannying doesn't pay well, but it is important) and exchange it for things like goods and services to further their skillset so they can get better jobs. I know! I was shocked when I heard about it, too!

If someone feels slighted or unhappy being a nanny, there are other options. Daycares are always hiring, very high turnover rates, work in retail, stock shelves, landscape, clean houses/businesses, there are PLENTY of other options.

On the Spanish people are white topic. Ehhhhh. I mean Europeans think Italians are colored people (hell we though that in America too). The Spanish / Italian / Greeks are the butt of European economic policy jokes too. They aren't exactly respected as equals.

Literally called PIGS. Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain.

In one of the recent videos Hillary/Hillaria posted, she speaks with a regular American accent. It was one of her explanation videos. So she doesn’t have an accent? When does she supposedly have an accent? I’m so confused.

You can tell she is not from Spain but, by just listening to her, (without knowing this crazy shit), you'd think she is an American woman who's spent a long time in Spain. And, yeah, no, we are not Hispanic. It is actually funny how people are talking about things like race and latino culture when they refer to Spanish people. You guys know we are European, right?

I didn't say anything, just played a clip of Hillary speaking Spanish in an interview and asked if this is a Spanish or Balearic dialect. She said absolutely not. She said she couldn't tell where she was from but said Mexico if she had to guess.

A woman from Madrid is not Hispanic. Other than that, good post.

Er yes, you are. Hispanic doesn't just cover Latin America. It covers any Spanish speaking nation. Including, Spain.

I just don't get this Hispanic race, the defining feature is the language you speak then? Because spaniards are white european caucasians and their ethnicity is way more similar to french or italians than to native south americans.

Hispanic is an ethnicity not a race. Keep up.

Doesn’t ethnicity also have a genetic component? How can a black Brazilian and a native Mexican and a white Spaniard be the same ethnicity?

I guess Brazilians are not Hispanic because they speak portuguese. However culturally they are closer to their neighbouring countries than european Spaniards who just share the language. In south america they consider themselves latin americans, and spanish europeans, so this hispanic thing is only used in the USA. And still latin american is an ethnicity because there are native americans and white people of european origin living there.

But you have to admit you mix it all. When they make you choose your "race/ethnicity", which has only happened to me in USA, there are race options as black, white or asian and "ethnicities" like hispanic. Many people could qualify for two of them.

Nannying pays better. Nannying for a celebrity pays much better.

Nanny, I 100% get you and I also took a HORRIFIC job to get a step up. Try not to resent your MB because she is creating an opportunity. She didn't make the world as it is. You're right about everything, and it's also right that you can be grateful that such opportunities exist. We all feel the urge to bite the hand that feeds us... but remember that you're in a symbiotic relationship.

Her earlier interviews included a stronger accent. The accent has been dwindling over the past year it seems. You should watch that amazing accent woman on youtube, she blows Hilarious away, she do great accents.

The NY Post cover tomorrow

It’s not just her name, Hilaria Baldwin’s entire life is a fake

"How you say . . . scam artist?
...
And her online presence is particularly insufferable. Here we have a 36-year-old woman with no discernible talent who — according to her recently updated Wiki page — is nevertheless a “podcaster, author, and former yoga instructor,” contorting her body into sexually suggestive yoga poses in inappropriate settings: on an airplane, while getting a spa pedicure, and in a most unsanitary display, on top of her expensive stove, hair spilling into a skillet. All for her social media followers.

That’s to say nothing of Hilaria’s compulsive poses with her babies as accessories. In one recent shot, her infant’s head went unsupported as she posed for a selfie in her glamorous bathroom. She often goes scantily-clad with her offspring, sexy new mommy shaming other slob-moms into not having lost the baby weight, like, yesterday."

I AM DEAD!

THIS IS REQUIRED VIEWING FOR ANYONE ON THIS THREAD!
Anonymous
Listen to yourselves! The witches of DCUM

Queen Bee
I’m the OP of this thread and I have to say the responses have been enlightening. I had no idea!

This was easily the most fascinating thread that I've ever read on DCUM. Thanks to all the 'people in the know' for the insider info!

As the OP this makes me very pleased

THE NEW YORK TIMES!!!!!!!!!! You guys!!! We are famous!! We made it!!!

I just want to thank DC Urban Mom for this whole thing. I've popped into this thread off and on for months waiting for this to come to fruition. The journey has been glorious. It's been a real mess of a year and we deserve this. - You're an idiot

I love it. Now it’s also a win for Jeff. 🙄 Truly a win for the entire DCUM fam. We worked hard for this. Exposing this loathsome fraud.

The problem for Hillary is that dcum isn’t just in DC. Don’t worry dcum family, I know it’s bedtime for you but we will keep this alive on the west coast. This is the gift that keeps on giving and I can’t believe detective dcum helped solve the case.

She's [Hilaria] def reading dcum. 29 min ago she posted to IG clearing up chatter about her identity and nationality

I kind of feel like we should all comment on her IG posts calling her out on this facade...what do you guys think??
Obvi
Lets do it! Come on, guys!

Are the kids names going to be changed to Candy, Lenny, Eddie, Ralph, and Raymond?

You really are completely vapid. You can stuff the fake sympathy for her kids up your ass. Go feed your kids or clean your house or volunteer somewhere, Karen, and worry about your own life.

OK, Karen! Merry Christmas and may you be less ... Ugly? Infertile? Single? Poor? Fat? You choose your blessing.

Vapid loathes vapid

You must be new here...And you must live alone

Comic relief
Of course I'm Kiwi. You are what you eat. I eat many, many things, including kiwis and I just don't understand why you won't allow me to be me. I'm tired and I'm going to sign off for a really long time, at least 2 hours

My friend who holds a Spanish passport and is the child of actual Spanish refugees (not retirees), identifies as Hispanic (ethnicity) and white (race). He also grew up in the US going back and forth to Spain, yet somehow has no Spanish accent.
Anonymous
What I don't get is why the media in Spain hasn't "outed" her. They should be able to suss out pretty quickly if her Spanish accent and speech are authentic and if her biographic references check out.

Here's a short article from 2015 in a Spanish (from Spain) publication that refers to Hilaria putting her daughter in Flamenco classes to teach her some traditions from her country of origin, Spain. The article also repeats her lie about having been born in Mallorca. They just seem to repeat what they read about her in other sources without anyone really checking her out.
