Valor

no other club on here comes even close to this much disgust. its pretty amazing actually.

It’s actually just the same parents on here making the moist noise and trying to start drama because they have nothing better to do. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet

I wouldn’t doubt it at all. It only takes a couple of unhinged people posting prolifically to really set the tone of a thread. You see it in the politics forum a lot. You can tell by writing style. I also think someone popping up very so often and saying “wow so many complaints must be really bad there” is the same poster. There are some crazy parents in this little neck of the woods. There is money but not a ton of athletic talent. Parents who weren’t high level athletes can’t seem to grasp that money doesn’t buy talent. You either got it or you don’t. If you keep signing your unathletic child up for Valor that’s on you. An athletic kid can make improvements even with crappy coaching just from repetition. If your kid hasn’t improved for several years on a lower Valor team it’s time to rethink travel soccer. Sorry the truth hurts.

If your theory is correct, then that means a handful of uniquely unhinged parents hate Valor so much they post repeatedly for years and basicly no other club has a similar situation...Chantilly isn't likely to have way more crazy parents than other places so not sure that theory makes sense.

It seems a lot more likely that they have bad customer service and a lot of unhappy customers but of course its all anonymous so who knows who is from Valor pretending to be a parent, who is a parent, etc

Yeah not everyone is chronically online like some of you wack jobs. I live in the area. Things said on here are said out loud in the community not just at games/practices/anonymous message boards. Keep coping harder. I know a few Valor parents posting on here in defense of the club that are just as quick to talk crap about valor in private. My assumption is the only reason they're there is that they couldn't get on better teams elsewhere while masking it as their player just really loves the community and kids they play with will while never mentioning the actual club being good.

Again PE failed. SYA and CYA should never have merged. Valor is now just rebranded CYA. It was a shit program as CYA travel and now is even worse as Valor. The travel program is run as rec. zero development and zero accountability on bad coaches. But yea it’s a bunch of crazy parents.

There was another whole long thread on here a year or two ago that was angry CYA and Loudoun rec parents b/c they were cheated by some rec program Valor was running. There was a prize but the prize was Mexican hats that broke, or something really strange like that. I don't remember exactly but the sombreros were so weird it stuck in my brain. Rec parents have very low expectations so for multiple parents to somehow find this forum (which lets face it is just club talk) and post rants about it must have meant it really was rank. So it doesn't seem to be just 1 or 2 crazies and everyone else lurrves Valor.

Sombreros? Is that a type to text thing or did you mean to type sombreros?

Go look at the 800+ page thread on age group changes and tell me a few crazies can’t possibly keep posting repeatedly to make an extremely long thread.

I would love to know why you are still here (if you even are) and who your kid currently plays for? A pp gave the backgrounds of the coaches after people asked for resumes. At that point, does it really matter if the person is affiliated with valor or not? I googled and got the same info, its not rocket science - well, maybe for you it is. The girls u9 - u13 coaching slate is solid, with the "resumes" that people here have asked for. If you don't like the coaching slate then go take your chances somewhere else. If you aren't happy with the coach you have now, suck it up for the spring season and move on.

Thanks guy…. So defensive.

Um, you might want to look in the mirror because you are clearly a wack job. The club is no different than any other club in the area, top team gets preferential treatment. Bottom teams are formed for those that want to play travel, but need improvements to move up. Parents are typical FFX parents in that some are chill, some think their kids are awesome, and some are just odd. I've had kids play for a few teams in the area and I can tell you they are all the same, but different. Meaning you will like things about Valor and hate others, just like at any other club. This means it's a great fit for some and not for others. This is about as honest of opinion you will get, if winning is your primary goal then go tryout for Arlington, Bethesda, etc.

It was the Father’s Day Fiesta All Star Tournament. There was nothing wrong with the medals. We have one at home, and it looks nice. All Star is for rec teams, and the kids play like kids from rec... I am not sure what was everyone expecting .

Top teams is all relative. Just because you are on a top team at Valor doesn't mean you have top team talent.

There was a really long complaint thread about this tournament along time ago but I never read it because my kids don't play rec. gonna go dig it up
now just to find out about the sombreros. Ole!
