“The Denver Nuggets basketball team was staying in The Nines hotel in downtown Portland on Friday night when leftist activists surrounded the building in pursuit of a man they believed to be conservative author Andy Ngo, WW has learned.

That means the team was inside the hotel when the crowd pursued the man they believed to be Ngo to the concierge desk of the hotel, then pulled on the doors and confronted Nines staff in a chaotic scene. Protesters had previously tackled and punched the man, who fled to the hotel for safety.

Ngo, among the nation’s most prominent critics of Portland’s anti-fascist movement and a prolific user of Twitter—where he regularly publishes the mug shots and personal information of leftist protesters.”

What Andy Ngo is doing is legal. The mug shots are public records. The arrests happened. People regularly post the mug shots of people arrested at the Capitol, their information, where they work, their home addresses, contact their employers, etc. So basically, Ngo does to leftists who are arrested what people do to conservative/right protesters, rioters, etc, who are arrested.

Who recorded the kid in DC, a high school kid, and put his information, and that of his family, all over the internet and tv? The MSM was happy to take what a leftist “provocateur“ recorded and tried to ruin a child’s life. But adult, violent leftists who are documented to be arrested by Ngo are somehow off-limits and he’s a snitch?

Nope.

Astounding that the people who are triggered by Andy Ngo have not a word to say about the leftists doing exactly what he does. I love this thread. It puts the hypocrisy of these morons in full view.

Also fascinating that the people who are triggered by leftist agitators have not a thing to say about Andy Ngo doing exactly what they do. I love this thread. It puts the hypocrisy of these morons in full view.

The poster you're quoting doesn't have a shred of self-awareness. It's truly amazing.

Your projection is what’s truly amazing. Bravo?

Then it's pretty odd that so many people are treating Ngo like the bogeyman simply for reporting on this nonissue.

Again. He is actively creating the problem by infiltrating the groups and kicking off violence, then pretending that the problem was that bad independent of him. He is just a live-streaming arsonist and you guys are all complaining about the fires and lauding him for reporting it.

I have yet to understand how one "kicks off" violence in people who weren't already inclined to be violent. Remember the old, "if you saw someone jump off a cliff, would you follow?" That used to be a pretty easy question for everyone, but apparently there are now a significant number of innocents who would say "yes."

So if it were proven that he’s the first one to throw a projectile or light a fire, that makes it okay?

No, it wouldn't, but I wouldn't call that "kicking off" violence or being a provocateur. I would call that "committing violence" and I would expect that anyone who saw that would try to stop it, or at least not join in. I'm certainly not sympathetic to someone who joins in while he films them.

Yep. They so desperately want antifa to be dismissed as a “boogeyman.” These people don’t live in reality. From your link:

Over the spring, the group of self-described anarchists, usually masked and dressed in black, has shattered windows at the Oregon Historical Society, at a Boys & Girls Club, at a public library, and at many small businesses, including some owned by Black merchants. Wheeler made a public plea for Portlanders to “take the city back.”

Do you understand just how ludicrous you sound? Ngo isn’t “kicking off” anything. And he’s certainly not an arsonist. Wow. He is, however, documenting *actual* arsonists and violent rioters. And somehow, his documentation is outraging you. Interesting.

DP. You’re accusing him of committing a crime he did not commit? Is there actual, CREDIBLE proof of what you’re claiming? Because you just look unbelievably desperate.

Beat me to it. Somehow antifa/anarchists are the “boogeyman,” even though we’ve ALL seen footage of the destruction they’re responsible for. But Ngo, who takes pictures of them committing crimes, is somehow at fault. It just makes it so clear that criticisms of Ngo are merely masking the support here for antifa.

OH MY GOD WHAT HORRIFIC DESTRUCTION.

We're talking about a couple dozen underemployed zit faced weekend warriors who go out on the streets and yell with megaphones, every once in a while they will set some old newspapers on fire, spraypaint some graffiti, smash a window. Most of it's confined to a 2 block radius in Portland.

Yawn. I've seen hordes of drunken sports fans routinely do far more damage smashing windows, flipping cars and setting them on fire after championship games.

Never saw Andy Ngo utter a peep over that destruction.

Nor do we hear anyone else in right wing media shrieking about sports fans from the rooftops like they do with these juvenile "Antifa" nitwits. Nor did they pretend that sports fans were burning down half of America or that they were the singularly biggest threat in the nation.

Face it, Andy Ngo and his ilk are doing nothing but peddling contrived rage to try and trigger conservative amygdalas. Manipulate 'em through fear.

And the hopeless right wing commenters on this thread have fallen for it, bit the baited hook line and sinker and are irrevocably snared by it. They don't even realize how much they're sucked in.

Oh. I see. So shattering windows at the Boys & Girls Club, the Oregon Historical Society, a public library, and many small businesses - including those owned by black merchants - is merely the equivalent of “setting some old newspaper on fire”? Say no more. You need serious help.

The right wing 1/6 rioters are going to cost me far more in taxpayer dollars due to the damages they caused than Portland Antifa ever did.

I don't need "serious help." Shit happens to businesses all the time. I've had to deal with fire. I even had an asshole shoot out my store window with a gun once. Yet I'm not as hysterical about this stuff as you are. There are violent assholes of all flavors all over the country.

Crazy people don't know that they are crazy. One clue that you are crazy is that you call other people "hysterical" when they say something you don't want to hear. You don't have to agree. Just telling you and your little teeny amygdala that you might want to have your neurocircuitry checked.

And before you ask, my amygdala is fine. I have pictures.

I'm not calling you hysterical "because it's something I don't want to hear" - That's already been addressed. I am fine with hearing about Antifa. I simply don't agree Antifa is the existential threat that you believe it to be. I've given examples of similar violence, like sports riots. Disagree with your opinion. Simple as that. Nothing at all crazy about that.

I'm calling you hysterical because you are quite evidently obsessed with Antifa and you just proved my point of hysteria by labeling a disagreement of opinion as "crazy."

“Sports hooliganism” is obviously thuggish behavior as well - but is completely off-topic here. Your whataboutism has no place and will be reported if you keep it up. Stay on-topic.

I don't need "serious help." Shit happens to businesses all the time. I've had to deal with fire. I even had an asshole shoot out my store window with a gun once. Yet I'm not as hysterical about this stuff as you are. There are violent assholes of all flavors all over the country.

If there were violent right-wing thugs destroying property for the better part of a year, night after night, your head would be exploding. But since these are *your* flavor of asshole, it’s merely “shit happens.” No biggie. You people are disgusting, on so many levels.
