What is the wildest conspiracy theory you actually believe?

lack of video evidence and witness evidence which is just very weird

it's only something you would recall if you were 1) paying attention to the local DC news coverage on that day and the days after 2) were familiar with that area and the traffic patterns during that time of day in general

I mean I don't doubt something hit it but maybe it wasn't that plane and sadly that plane ended up crashed elsewhere or disappeared much like that Indonesian flight? Keeping in mind that until then we had never even entertained that a flight could be lost without a trace.

My friend's father died at the Pentagon 9/11 site.

My DH watched the plane hit pentagon as he was driving to work. It was utter chaos. He turned around and came back home. I heard about the first plane hitting the tower on the morning radio show...the host was laughing because a few months ago another light airplane had crashed into the towers ...how stupid are these pilots. Then I was at the office and the second plane hit. A person whose spouse worked in one of the spy agencies told us that this was an attack. We all were told to go home and we did. My parents were visiting from another country and my kid was home with them. I cannot ever forget what we saw that day. That was beyond horrible. Frankly, the terror we felt that day was not comparable to the COVID pandemic. Mainly because COVID is invisible and we are not seeing people die the same way in a shocking manner. BUT, COVID has killed so many more than 9/11, and this time it is an American President and a corrupt GOP who is to be blamed for the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

Interesting. I have watched a lot of documentaries on that day and a lot of them have experts that claim the plane was going at a speed that would have made it hard for people to see before the impact. They would have seen the aftermath of the impact of the plane hitting the building which is what I think most people saw.

Nonsense.

I believe this too

+1 - there is so much weirdness around this kid's birth.

Can’t believe this hasn’t been investigated and mystery solved!

But which Palin daughter is this baby’s mom?

I think this is the most boring conspiracy theory ever because the teen girl ended up having a bunch of babies with randos so what would a fake pregnancy claim?

Meant achieve, not claim.

If it was the middle daughter, she'd have been around 14 at the time. It's far easier to spin the story of an older teen like Bristol getting pregnant than it is a middle schooler getting pregnant, especially depending on who the father is. Not to mention, they avoid the story of two teenage sisters getting pregnant within the same 12-month period. Sarah gets to look like the ultimate mama bear, governing the state during a high-risk pregnancy, and they appeal to the pro-life base because she didn't terminate.

I believe the following conspiracy theories:

- Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. I think the Oliver Stone documentary is pretty close to right.
- The video of the moon landing is fake. Maybe we did land on the moon, but I think the video footage was shot in a sound studio.

I believe these things but don't really think they're conspiracy theories!

- Russians have blackmail material on Trump and Lindsey Graham
- Sarah Palin is not the mother of her youngest child

I have started believing it after I met two moms who claimed their kids were developing “normally” and then in one of them there was a very drastic change (the other one may have just received diagnosis but this one... the change was huge!)
I know I know. But I do believe some vaccines may harm some people.

Isn’t this how autism presents though? Most kids appear to be developing ‘normally’ until they’re ~1-2 years? At least the two kids I know with mild autism, this is how it happened. I can understand I suppose given the timing why parents correlate it to vaccines or whatever, but in both of those cases, the family has clear undiagnosed autism in grandparents and aunts/uncles.

There are lots of different ways it presents. With a sudden presentation, it’s more likely to be a virus like strep that attacks the brain. There’s a lot we don’t know about autism but I think the vaccine question is not one of them.

The Colts threw the 1969 Super Bowl to the Jets to help begin the modern NFL. UNLV threw the 1991 national championship to dook to get rich.

By throwing an exorbitant amount of resources at saving the elderly, the sick and the poor at the expense of others and health of the economy we are just speeding out our demise as humankind.

My friend who lives in Crystal City at the time literally saw the plane hit the building with her own two eyes. There were tons of eyewitnesses!I don't get how this is a thing.

Fits right in with the ‘Republicans are evil’ mentality

I was on that highway right next to the Pentagon when the plane hit. Trust me, it was a freaking plane.

I don’t believe this is a wild theory- I think it’s true.

Me too.

I think they added things to it or resequenced it so it would be more contagious and now it also causes other strange long term issues. I think it’s a franken virus.

She literally predicted her own murder. She’s been “erased” by the Royals. She couldn’t even survive one year, I think Charles just couldn’t have Diana out in the world happy and drawing attention to her causes, causing endless comparisons to his “precious” (Camilla) not to mention moving on with her life.

Sarah Palin is not the mother of her youngest child. If you look at the timeline of when he was born, it makes no sense.

Donald Trump is a criminal informant. That's why he's never had charges brought against him even though he has been hanging around with mobsters for 40 years. That's also why Mueller tiptoed around his criminal activity in his report. He tried to lay the breadcrumbs for Congress but he wasn't going to come out and say it.

The stats don't support this, though. Lots of immigrants are very conservative (believe no one should get anything that wasn't available to then) and Latinos are not reliably Democrats.

Yeah - the purpose of the above right wing talking point is flat out racism/othering by associating Democrats with groups of people that the right doesn't think really deserve to be American.
