Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett says her cheating spouse, Tim Mynett, told her in April that he was having an affair with the Somali-born US representative and that he even made a “shocking declaration of love” for the Minnesota congresswoman before he ditched his wife, alleges the filing, submitted in DC Superior Court on Tuesday.

The physician, 55, and her 38-year-old husband — who has worked for left-wing Democrats such as Omar and her Minnesota predecessor, Keith Ellison — have a 13-year-old son together.

“The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar,” the court papers say.

Huh what?

Physician Beth Jordan Mynett has zero reason to lie.

She has a very big reason to lie. And her profession has nothing to do with her dysfunctional marriage.

What exactly are you talking about? She has no history of dishonestly.

Her big reason is her marriage is ending and she is motivated to “win” assets, custody, sympathy, etc.

Adultery has no bearing on custody or distribution of assets.

Quite frankly, with their age difference, no one's sympathy will be on her side. People will say she knew what she was getting into.

Regardless, a bitter soon-to-be-ex-wife has plenty of reasons to lie.

Hard to believe she is lying...but, if she is lying, that is an awful big risk to take, considering she swore under penalty of perjury in her divorce filing.

That is why they were seen holding hands in an out-of-the-way intimate restaurant over 50 miles from a CAIR banquet she was attending.

That doesn't really show them holding hands you know....

From the link: "Ilhan Omar and a male companion were seen holding hands inside Caffé Pinguini in Playa Del Rey on March 24"
Read the article. A witness saw them holding hands.

Right, a photo that you claim shows them holding hands doesn't actually show that. But, never mind, we are just supposed to believe an anonymous source of the Daily Mail. Impeccable logic.

I NEVER said a photo showed that. Read my message.

So you agree that just as there is no evidence of an affair, there is no evidence of them holding hands?

Only the statement of a witness to the press and the statement of Mynett's estranged wife in a sworn deposition.

That's not really evidence. The witness's credibility can't be evaluated and the Daily Mail is not a very reliable source. Tim Mynett also has a sworn deposition that denies an affair. So depositions are a wash.

FWIW, I never bring up a politician's religion. I do think it's something to consider when a politician identifies publicly with a certain religion or faith--as Jimmy Carter does. If it's not important to Omar to be identified as a Muslim, then I'll assume that she wouldn't bring it up.

Well, if both of the accused deny an affair, then that settles that!!

I think the wife he left found a convenient excuse in Omar for her divorce. She is an old hag who tricked him into marrying her and now she has been dumped for a new woman.

This is standard stuff in the relationships forum.

"tricked him?!" how dumb is he?

To be fair he was pretty young when he fathered the kid and rightly did not marry her immediately. It was a last chance kid for her and an "oh my god, I am too young for this" kid for him.

If he's old enough to father a kid, he's old enough to know that he should assume responsibility immediately. That's not being "tricked."

Are you joking? He was 25. How utterly ridiculous and offensive to imply he didn't know what he was doing in regards to sex and birth control and that some old minx "tricked" him into impregnating her.

That marriage sounds like it has been doomed from the start. Just all kinds of bizarre with the large age difference and a kid and getting married when the kid was like 6 or 7? Weirdness

Look at Omar’s marital history. That is weird.

She could have easily lied about taking BCP. Maybe she does have a history of lying/manipulation.

I'm confused. What is your reason for disparaging the wife's character? It would seem that you're attempting to provide cover for Omar at the expense of the wife by offering up stereotypical negative things that some women do. Are you for women? Or just for Ilhan Omar?

This

I'd be fascinated to know if this is a man with a boner for Omar, or a woman who is being blatantly hypocritical in treatment of women.

You mean, disparaging her in the same way others are trashing Omar for possibly having an affair. Why is it ok to disparage Omar but not the ex-wife?
