Vogue and Anna Wintour getting heat for their choice of a very meh cover of the VP (and not the cover all parties had agreed to, Yashar reports).
Twitter doing its job by suggesting lots and better pics than the V cover shots befitting Kamala.

It's a terrible photo - I cannot fathom why they would choose a frumpy, unflattering photo of a gorgeous (powerful!) woman who usually photographs really well!

Like the Chucks, though

She wears LOTS of pantsuits, but manages not to attract any comments on them the way HRC did.

I think that's because her suits are more modern (fitted clean lines, one button jacket) and she wears real heels, not kitten heels or loafers. In contrast, Hillary's suits always seemed a bit boxy & old ladyish. FWIW I had no issue with the way Hillary dressed (and unfair we talk about women like this and not men) but that's just my take on the difference between the two.

Those suits are horrible on her. Skirt might have been better with the large hips.

Hillary developed heavy legs and cankles as she aged, which is why she probably stuck to pantsuits.

The Chucks are cute and fine. But we saw better pics of her wearing them from pool reporters as she hopped off/on an airplane to/from her waiting vehicle.
And the point that all parties had agreed to a different pic for the cover. Come on Vogue, do better.

I don't think it's unflattering. The sneakers make a statement.

Sneakers are fine and I’d expect them, jacket is meh, cut of the pants is what I dislike.

Yeah, Vogue phucked up. Mrs. Obama’s dreamy covers would not have been appropriate, but a flattering power portrait would have been. This is awful.

I have issues (ha) with Vogue, and most of them stem from Anna Wintour’s cack handed management.

I think she looks amazing, period. She and Michelle pull off these looks that speak to our girls, and that's the most important. I always have DD review the looks with chucks and get 100% enthusiastic approval.

Yeah it's a super awkward looking photo. It looks like a picture you'd get taken at a conference where they don't care if you look attractive. Standing, front-facing full body shots are not how you photograph someone when you want them to look great - even I know that.

I think she looks great

This doesn't belong in Trump Ladies (I could never be so cruel to staffers), so I thought I would post here:

These staffers are wearing almost matching dresses. Is this corporate style right now? In DC or everywhere? I have been wearing covid pants, and the last actual dress I wore to work was a sheath dress, very structured. Is the looser, patterned dress, sash a waist and high collar a thing? How long are these dresses?

Alright, lets just say that vast majority of post-menopausal women don't look amazing in anything. Women's clothes are meant to flatter the figures of young women. A young woman's physique is what women of all ages are compared to when their appearance is scrutinized.

Men in boxy suits all look the same.

PP who like the cover and the chucks. yeah blue suit was better for vogue. It's almost like they tricked her because she standing on the backdrop and expected her feet to get cropped in the first picture.

Vogue made a mistake. Big mistake. Huge.

This photo is 10,000X better - even her face and the background is better. WTH!

And I love that she wears chucks. But sheesh....
