He is for inbound school OR DEATH!!! Or public shaming. |
Amen! |
It’s DCUM, Jake. |
I don't know the other posters but Joe (and Amy) definitely said negative things to me when we moved to private. I suspect mostly because I was an active Ward 6 public school parent (PTA/LSAT/CHPSPO). It wasn't subtle, their reactions. |
This thread is the most compelling evidence yet that DCUM gives you brain worms. |
He used those specific words? You must know a very different Joe Weedon than I do. |
Well, the direct quote was "Oh, that's too bad." but we all know what that means!!! |
Oh for the love of god. You've got to be kidding me. You got "traitor" from "that's too bad"? SMDH. |
You don't tell someone where your child goes to school and have them reply "oh, that's too bad" unless they're an a-hole. More common is, "oh...do you like it?" (with a tone of, how can you possibly send your kid there, and usually said about the DCPS not a charter). |
New poster- “that’s too bad” absolutely means traitor. |
Equally bad and just more passive aggressive. I've heard that kind of response for both DCPS and charters fwiw. But you tend to hear it more from people outside of DC (either suburbs or non-DMV residents) than from DC public school parents. |
Joe toed the CHPSPO line and supported the CHPSPO modus operandi - be judgemental and holier than thou about this complex and messy issue. |
amen I attended one CHPSPO meeting and I could tell I was unwanted The irony is almost everyone there bails on the neighborhood school system at some point but if you mention even thinking about it you are treated as a piranha |
I wonder what they think of Joe now since he has basically turned his back on everything they supposedly stand for |
Do you mean pariah? Not sure what being treated like a piranha would look like. ![]() |
