I think everyone would run away from you if you were a piranha (not unlike pariahs) LOL |
The founder and head of CHPSPO did not enroll her older child in a DCPS high school - she bailed. As have other active members of CHPSPO too. Yet they get all Judgy McJudgy Pants when their orthodoxy is challenged. |
Can it figure that group out. Wish they would stick to organizing bike to school days and grant writing. They messed up the Ward 6 middle school situation so badly by sticking to ideological imperatives—that they obviously don’t even follow—instead of the practical realities on the ground. It’s arrogance, hypocrisy and virtue-signaling at its worst. |
Yes Amy, we all do. |
This. |
Going to a private is clearly worse than going to a DCPS application school. Cut the guy some slack. |
“Worse”? What is wrong with parents deciding that private school is better for their child and then moving that child to a private school? The point is there is nothing wrong with parents making the best decision they can for their child and his apparent history of imposing his view of what is right on others is what has inspired this thread. Hopefully being on the other side is humbling for him. |
I would disagree. They are taking a free, selective education from another DC school child who may not have the option to go to private. |
Wait, wait, wait. Isn’t the whole idea that having Joe and his daughter at any public school will make that school better? He’s actually doing DCPS a favor by not going private ( sarcasm font ) |
22 pages long! You all are bitter, sad people. All because a man made you feel bad by saying “that’s too bad”. Get a life folks. |
Are you saying that Joe can't take criticism? Of his own volition he put himself out front. He sure liked the positive feedback he got. |
It’s about integrity and decency. When those are violated, people remember |
Perhaps the bullying that happens at EH is one reason Weedon changed his mind about EH / Eastern?

And he then joins the club of those who want more from our neighborhood schools and DCPS administrators. Why 22+ pages? Judge not lest ye be judged” and Weedon deserves a heaping helping |
He was a public official. He had some influence over policy and was very forceful about what he thought needed to happen.
He advocated SHUTTING DOWN Walls and the other application schools. TBH had he sent his daughter to a private high school it would be less hypocritical than this. |
